Right, the contest is now closed.  All tunes had a microscopic element to them, but eventually BOYD1981's came out as the winner. Congratulations, take over from here.

Your task is to depict musically one or several small lifeforms. If you choose several, they may be of different kinds or of one culture. You may begin to multiply.

Yippee! New topic coming up.

Haha, cool. And the name, (I believe it's this) Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra, is something you'd never look for in the first place. Actually it cant' be that because I'm certain I see the letter S 2 times.
It does say Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra. The A in Varggoth is flipped upside down and the T's seem to be so too, or then they are just ugly. The last S-looking shape on the upper row is actally a H.

On topic:
I don't think it's a bad idea to give all of the words the same size/importance, it gives a poetic feel to the name of the band, like somebody was reading the phrase aloud.

His joy of living was catchy, seeing him on television made me smile. RIP

Mind the speed limits or you might just float off.

i can actually see a few games being made about this subject, like the new roger confronting the old one, and the old one winning or something like that...Ã,  :)

How about a Jekyll & Hyde type of plot?

I think Roger (especially the older one) has achieved a kind of mythical status (at least among game creators) and it would be a shame if he would remain a template.
Edit: Remembered demo game, although I cannot remember if it had much of a plot.

I played through the two first chapters. At worst it was a blatant tunnel-runner.
At best it had a nice paranoid/jumpy atmosphere and some illusion of freedom.

This looks great. What size are the hand-painted watercolor originals?

I agree with Ali.
Since the ratings are optional, the maker is actually creating the game he would like to play even if it has rating stickers (no compromising).

Even suggested standardised ratings/icons are fine by me since they are not only optional, but also easier for gamers to recognise content by.

In the end, anyone can still create their own game. Even un-rated games would still get downloads from non-rating-conformists, people that have seen violence before and those that don't fit into the two previous categories.

This debate somehow reminds me of the one in music with people who want to categorise music and those who don't. Guess I belong into the type of people who find genres as a useful tool for narrowing out information and my opinion is biased in that way.

I don't believe the ratings are more harmful than saying "made with AGS", which leads the gamer to expect a certain gameplay mechanic and development effort (assuming he/she knows what AGS is).

The current method used on these forums (1-2 screenshots + description/plot outline) is far more effective though, since a single word/symbol says less but still conjures a powerful image and expectations.

I got the idea of rendering snow texture though a difference clouds filter and stretching the result with Edit, Transform, Perspective (PS). After that, I tweaked Hue/Saturation with the Colorize box
checked.
This might still lack some subtlety achived through brightness & contrast adjustement, depending on if this is to be 256 or hi-colour.
Don't know if it's better in any way, though.

Current favourite: Yuri's Revenge/RA2.

Ever heard of liero? http://www.liero.be/
It's alike real-time worms (has ninja ropes and weapons inspired by it), and sounds similar to your idea.
The thing is, since development on liero stopped, clones and hacks have been produced with added networking support, more weapons, greater degree of customization etc.

The main page of the Liero wiki (accessible via liero.be) provides info and links to these clones.
Gusanos (a GPL'ed Liero clone in C++) might be of particular interest to you, and the larger projects have forums where you could try recruiting people.

I would not purchase it (unless it were essential to the curriculum, which I doubt).
