The story is well written and you get to know some of the people of the kingdom and learn about their fears, hopes, desires. The style of the walking animation has its unique charm, you'll love or hate it, no doubt about it. I could not find any glitches that would prevent me from finishing the game. I saved the world in twenty-seven minutes 
Overall: Good story writing, good programming, genuine design.

I have a problem with the subject of this competition, as all my petty ideas so far involved animate objects to transport the sense of scale, like animals or persons which obviously should not be part of the background scenery.
To add to this in the inspirational images in the first post I can only mostly see unidentifyable coloured blobs and the second image also depicts human beings.  Hrmph
