Like a ghost from the past.  I'm making a game after all this time.

It's a spy thriller set in the cold-war era.

downlad the teaser-trailer here:

http://www.looptheorist.com/chouse.exe

it's a standalone movie that you may or my not need flashplyer to watch.   but flashplayer is free and you should have it anyway, so here's your excuse.

it's about 3.1 megs due to the music.

enjoy.

4/5/04

Here's some NPC art:

P.S. playable demo to come shortly.

Insomnia. real insomnia, as in the medical condition is what I imagine it to be like in hell.  The medications that they offer for imsomnia is also like being in hell but maybe only on the 3rd level, where everyone who commits the sin of sloth is sent.

How did I come up with this analogy?  I've had both.  I've been diagnose with and suffer from clinical insomnia, AND I've been given and suffered through the pills they give you (I think I still have half a bottle of Ambin around someplace) and my final conclusions about the whole ordeal?  I wish the doctor had just kicked me in the balls.

How'd beat it in the end?  Better diet,  finding my bodies natural rythems AND lower alchol comsumption belive it or not!

Babies dont sleep as well  as I do.

Holy shit!

Thats bad-ass, we in the US have some similar things, but they're smaller, designed for tunnling through debris to look for suvivers and bring them immiediate medical/food aid, and to provide them with company of all things.

The millitary has a whole research facillity designated to research rescue and retrieval robots.

I would like to point out that the image of the side walk cycle in farlanders post is taken from the book: "The Animators work book"  Which is an excellent guide. Check it out here.

Two words: Screen Capture.

Tedius I know, but effective none the less.

If you're using some form of console emulator, lots of them have that function built right in and linked to a function key.  Just mash away.   Or you my be able to hunt down some fancy screen capture software that runs in the background and records time-laps.

I highly dooubt anyone has taken the time to do this them selves or devined a way to extract the graphical resources for this game and then just tossed them out on the information super-highway for all.

Pirate Jack: Not cool man, not cool.  You've been around here long enough to know the rules.

Largo:  I'm not sure what you're asking, but if the game actually needs more physical  RAM to function then you'll have to buy some and physically install it.

It may be that the gaame requires expanded memoory to work, which was a DOS thing, and I'm not too sure how it works  now under various windows operating systems.
