Yeah, later on I thought so, but a comment like "I got nothing to do, let's try this" would have helped.

Regarding bugs:
Spoiler
I think I had to add some items multiple times (maybe I've also picked them up multiple times? Can't remember) Anyway, nothing serious.

I read the article about Kafka (because I read "Die Verwandlung" a few months ago).

An interesting thought, what has happened before the book starts. The interpretation I thought of after reading the story was, that Gregor suffered from burn-out syndrome and depression. Just think about the pressure his family and work put on him. Now that he got sick, he can't work anymore and is useless like a giant bug to everyone, like one that you usually squash with your foot. So the metamorphosis is basically just a symptom of it, similar to as you described in the last paragraph.

More directly related to your article/writing: I found the paragraph after "Does Gregor know what happened to him?" hard to understand, I'm not sure what you wanted to say there.

A bit late to the party, but I just recently had time to play all the games. I thought I'd leave my comments here nonetheless:

Groundhog by Slasher:

It took me quite some time to see the pattern in the answers, I have to admit. It got annoying pretty soon having to redo all stuff just for one answer. I'd have preferred being able to ask let's say three different subjects until she became annoyed and we have to start over. Not one of my favourite Slasher games (because I usually enjoy them).

I picked my favourite characters and found the hidden exit button - I guess that counts as a win? (laugh)

Nice game, although a bit buggy. I was missing a reason why I would follow the recipe.

Comet Collision by VampireWombat
Spoiler
It was fun and made me chuckle a few times. Gotta love the tree-top-shelters (laugh)

Don't Ice your Cool by Hobo
Spoiler
Great graphics and animations although some of the puzzle solutions were a bit weird.

Beware that this is all based on the most recent version of the games which probably differ a bit from the MAGS version.

If I were able to vote, I'd go for
Spoiler
either Don't Ice your Cool or Comet Collision

Not 100% sure, but writing is also creative production, I think. You could try a thread for just one article, worst case it is locked or moved.

If you want critic for your texts, you could try posting them in Critics Lounge. Maybe more people would answer there.

I'm interested to know what was hard about finding the exits.
Once I left the bedroom I couldn't enter any more - there was simply no hotspot. I also found it hard to find the hotspot for leaving the hallway, it was not where I expected it to be.

I finally found some time to play the MAGS games.

Stories of the unexpected: 'Until further notice' by Slasher
Spoiler

Well written story and dialogs, a nice minigame and funny twist in the end. But the laptops and eye-scanner in a game that takes place in the 60ies was just too much.

The Lightning Spell by Buckethead
Spoiler

Lovely graphics that somehow clashed with the humorous writing style. There were hardly any puzzles or interactions with the surroundings to speak of.

WELCOME TO NOD RIVER by Mandle
Spoiler

I guess this refers to some TV show that I don't know? It's really only a short intro, so I can't say much about it.

The Shaft by Kastchey
Spoiler
Amazing graphics and atmosphere, disturbing setting and sound track. The puzzles were a bit use-everything-on-everything for me, especially because combining only worked in one direction. The game is clearly lacking some polish (responses, animations etc.) but looks very promising.

Pizza Calls by VampireWombat
Spoiler

Well, that was weird. I got stuck after getting the coupons, phone and battery because I couldn't do anything more and finding the exits was super hard.

Does anyone who is not a native German speaker know Staplerfahrer Klaus? It's about Klaus who has just got his forklift driver license and his first day at work in style of work safety videos. Give it a try: it's only 10 minutes, you don't really need to understand German and it's absolute cult:

Noooooo, I don't want this to end :~(
It was a lovely surprise to find the newsletter in my inbox every month.
Thanks for two years of newsletter, Peder and team!

I don't see anything wrong with having 3 of something. 3 is a mythical number, and unless there is a strong connection in the culture/story, I'd find it weird to have 4 of something. 5 would also feel natural.

Saying that you want to connect time and position, what about golden clock hands? They are placed on a central bolt and you have to point them to the constellation. I don't know in which culture the game takes place and if this fits.
#1671
Ah, I maybe didn't ask for a lead.
I played again and start to get the hang of it :)

Hm, now this time I didn't find all 4 suspects again. I'm not sure I managed to ask all of them for leads because they refused to answer and I ran out of forcing them, though.
#1672
Ok, I could solve the case. However, there were only 3 suspects? I couldn't find the yellow one.
#1673
Thanks, Cassiebsg! The game looks really great, I have to try it when I have more time.
#1674
I know, and that's what I did and I found a few matches. But then I entered more apartments, took stuff but couldn't compare it anymore.
#1675
It's almost August and we need a new pick. Has anyone played any recent game and can recommend it? Remember, the game should be free and preferably not a demo.
#1676
I tried it but I don't really get how I'm supposed to play. I can only compare a limited amount of items - how can I know which ones I should compare?
#1677
As a silent observer, I thought VampireWombat was a werewolf since he insisted on not lynching anyone twice in a row. I think this was most useful for the werewolfs, since they kill someone every night regardless. He was clearly working together in a team with Stupot, so I'd have voted for Stupot as well.
#1678
Wow, I'm really terrible at that. I'm glad I didn't bet for money :P
#1679
Good to hear from you again! I wish you all the best and hope you will drop by from time to time :)

Oh, and please fix the link to your DeviantArt account in your AGS profile. The one currently linked is down, which probably made people worry even more.

PS: Gotta love those mermaids!

The date is not an issue, but games for Potm have to be free.
