Thanks and greetings from raeff!

@Stupot+ Awesome, just tell me where and when and I'll roll myself in the city  ;)
#1963
Thanks ;-D

This is going to be our biggest project so far  ;)

Iceland sounds amazing, but no Mittens for us this year. We are going to have a baby in September ;-D so I won't do any long travelling this summer.

As it turns out though, we're going to Prague, Vienna and Budapest so that's off the table.
Awesome! Would be great if we could meet in Vienna. Since I'm off from work in July already, I have lots of time. We could also go on a short side trip outside of Vienna, like we did in Kawagoe...

Those screenshots make me want to play the full game even more. I really want to explore that mansion :~(

Thanks, guys!

Oh really 8-0 for me it was always ee-a-seer in my head :P

Anyway, congratulations for winning Best Demo. The Best Background Art category was one of the closest regarding votes. I think that the backgrounds of Iesir as well as Shardlight are amazing, each in their own way and style.

Wow, thanks Dualnames! I love this community!

Thanks, Stupot! I'm glad that we managed to get the MAGGIES into the ceremony. Quite a percentage of the games made each year have their origin in MAGS - without it, what games should we play? MAGS deserves more attention and recognition (nod)

Can't you guys just move Japan to a better time zone?

A good night's sleep and a Sunday breakfast did the trick, I'm awake again :)

It was a great event, thanks to everyone who showed up, presented and partied! Like paolo, I think it's great that many different games got an award. Kudos to everyone who voted, for thoroughly evaluating each game's strengths and reflecting this in the votes.
I'm also happy that for each game award the author was attending the ceremony and giving speeches when accepting the awards. Spread the ❤️️ guys!

Congratulations to all winners and especially JSH for winning Best Game!

Thanks again to Snarky and everyone who helped with the awards. Even though you might not notice, there is a lot of work to do to run the awards with lots of people involved. Thanks!

Thanks Mandle for waking up Stupot and saving the MAGGIES (laugh)

Gurok, I hope the recording is not lost 8-0

Thanks to everyone who voted for Toffee! I was super nervous and stressed yesterday evening with hosting, I did not manage to do a proper speech :-[

It's over! Thanks to everyone who voted for Toffee!

I'll do a proper write-up tomorrow, but now I just want to party and then drop into bed :)

Download the client and join us!

Some instructions on how to use it:
Spoiler

You can also use a couple of special commands by typing them into the chat line:
/cinema - hide the UI (and bring it back: you'll have to type it blind since the input box is invisible)
/help - IRC tips

You can also connect for a text-only experience over IRC:

Server: irc.adventuregamestudio.co.uk
Channel: #awards (you should also join #ags)
If you don't have an IRC client, you can use this web client.

The awards channel will be moderated, i.e. it is muted while presentations go on.
Join #AGS with any irc client to chat with other people during the ceremony

Would the presenter of MAGGIES please contact me via PM?
#1976
Thanks AGA!

The lines now work correctly, however, the ellipsis is still weird. It appears in places where it is not needed (see http://pasteboard.co/GTVJoTswq.png)

The ellipsis is not caused by css but seems to be there in the generated HTML already.

Set for April - thanks, Creamy!

Voting is over

Big thanks to everyone who took the time to play the nominated games and vote for their favourites :)

The results will be announced during the awards ceremony. The doodle has shown a strong preference for Saturday evening. Since 18:00 seems a bit early for some and 21:00 a bit late for others, I will pick a time in between.

The official AGS awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, 11th of March at 20:00 GMT

Time zone conversion

We will use the ceremony client, prepared by Snarky (thanks for that!). There will be some beta-testing on probably Thursday or Friday. Details will be announced in the following days.
