What is it used for now? I mean, I can edit it in the game's general settings.

The game version number. Would be useful to show on a title screen etc. so it's easy to figure out what version of the game a player has when analysing bugs.

Lovely game! Nice clean graphics and lovely music. Took me about 40 minutes to complete.

I was really glad that I could skip the heads up/down puzzle after a while
The game has a rare example of a maze in an adventure game that was actually fun (and the footprints were a nice idea)

That was weird and interesting. I liked how you progressed through the mansion and that you felt really there with being able to turn around and look behind you. I didn't like that I had to use tab for the inventory and the English could use some proofreading.

I'm glad you started blogging again and I like your way of analysing art.

About the last background: While I like the render more than the first you posted with the thick walls, I think the foreground and background don't blend as nicely as the others did because of the different colors.
