Since I want to participate in the awards with a game I made last year, I don't think I should host it. :(

Congrats to all winners, and thanks for hosting this hillarious competition, Bavolis!

The problem is, that dDialog1.Start() is not blocking AFAIK. So you start the dialog and immediately after that, check for option chosen (which at that point in time, was not yet chosen).

There is a much better solution to this: Just make the object visible from WITHIN the dialog script. In the dialog script itself, where you handle the desired option (5 in this case), indent the line and write the AGS code. Take a look at the manual in the section "Dialogs" and "Using scripting commands in dialogs".

Ok, thanks for the info.

Just a quick question: With this version, is is possible to have function pointers/delegates/whatever you call them?
I couldn't find it in the first post.

Creamy and I are going to join this MAGS with a game in a historical setting :-D
I did quite a bunch of research already and he has made some amazing artwork. Let's keep the fingers crossed that we make it in time!

Why did the squirrel cross the road?

I'd recommend something different: Why don't you try to play one of the newer AGS games? Lots of games have been released in the past few years and they usually work fine on modern PCs. For example, this page lists the games from last year's awards: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/wiki/AGS_Awards_2014 (some of them are commercial, but there are also a lot of freeware games - check out the "Best Freeware Game Created with AGS" category).

I have just changed to a new PC with Windows 10 64 dual monitor and now have the same issue with the 3.4.0.6 alpha. I currently have no VS installed, is there somewhere a compiled version with this fix? When will the alpha 7 be released?

I love your new project and I regularly check the blog now. I think not showing every scribble is ok (I want to enjoy reading the final comic after all) but I demand a photo of this:

Funny, just a few days ago I had the same thought :)
