Oh my God! I'm learning so much about myself right now! :cheesy:
Do you want to talk about it? [imgzoom]http://www.smilies.4-user.de/include/Berufe/smilie_be_081.gif[/imgzoom]

In the forum profile, there is the "Show stats" feature on the left side below the avatar. There you can see when each person is active on the forum. I guess as long as there are significant overlaps, this should work.

In this case, I think the simplest solution would be to store the relative path if the file is within the project folder (or a subfolder), and the absolute path otherwise.
This.

Please don't make it overly complicated.

Back to topic, I'd like to team up for OROW!

I can do graphics, animations and coding and would need someone to do music and testing a help me bouncing some ideas. Look here to get an idea what kind of games I like to make: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/author/cat/

I does not matter which cologne you are using ;) but it would probably help if you are living in a European time zone.

Finally I managed to play some MAGS games and vote!

Hendrix Island
I couldn't really get into, it also felt rushed with debug mode still on and missing interactions.
Leopold Kettle is super cute, with nice graphics and best walk-cycle (or roll-cycle?) ever. However, the typing effect got annoying pretty soon.
The Jimi Hendrix Case has great graphics, an interesting concept and nice game play elements.

Compared to last year's super bock collection this is a ridiculous small amout of booze :P

Australia? Better start saving money right now 8-0

I'm glad you all had a great time :)

Two important questions:

  • Where is the group photo?
  • Have you decided next Mittens' location, yet?
#2729
May I make a suggestion?

The user adds a new resource.
Scenario 1: It is stored in a subfolder of the game folder -> it is stored as .\sounds\bang.ogg
Scenario 2: It is stored somewhere else -> it is stored as C:\Users\cat\Pictures\logo.bmp

I wouldn't ask people to mess with define the path type or even define their own path settings.

Would it be possible to detect if the path is a sub-path of the main game folder and in this case keep it relative? In any other case it could be absolute.

The last OROW had only three restrictions: (1) use AGS, (2) one room, but can have cutscenes, (3) must be anonymous. No rules about content that I could find.
This was not last OROW. Last OROW (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=48409.0) had the rule with no premade material and you participated. So either you were fine with this limitation back then or you cheated.

Entries may use content from any source, including pre-made.
I think this should be limited to public available material.
#2732
Last OROW's rules were exactly like that, no premade content. Why don't you team up with someone who can do art or music?
#2733
Awesome, looking forward to it! ;-D

Are you an Aqua Velva lady? :=

I wouldn't even know what that is ???
#2735
There have been different rules for different OROW.

Last OROW, no pre-existing resources (art, music,...) were allowed, only already published scripting modules and AGS templates.
#2736
What about team work? Is it allowed?

Happy birthday, Tabata!
#2738
Ah, that was removed after Ghost suddenly disappeared :P

But why on earth would you want to do such a thing? 8-0
#2739
Delete what? A game? A post? AGS?
#2740
The font is much more readable now!

One more thing I noticed: The switch between the two music pieces is somewhat random. It would be better if it were more in sync with the pictures.
