+1

I also have lots of tabs open.

I'm so looking forward to this. I'm already preparing a special prize for the quiz :)

Great trailer! I agree with Nemo, play the OROW games and then vote for your favourite (nod)

I'll close voting at 23:59 on Sunday then, since people seem to agree with that.  I should be able to send you some stats early - mid Monday then, cat.
Awesome! I'll try to post the results in my lunch or coffee break  :)

Will we get to know the 2nd and 3rd place in each category too?
Yes, definitely. I probably will not post the complete result (I don't want anyone to feel bad for being last) but at least the top 3 or top 5 in every category.
#3265
Does anyone need more time to play the games and vote?

I'm just afraid that keeping this open longer might stretch it too much and people lose interest.

I don't think there is a lot of spam going on in this board. If I were about to release a module I'd prefer to post it directly there instead of posting somewhere else and waiting for a moderator to move it. I think it's best the way it is now.

I understand that IntelliSense is not updated as you type, but at least when compiling it should be done.

Oh, and I had the dockingpanel issue too. I rearranged the panels and then it did work again.

The doctor and the brother are dead, I think I tried all objects. Do I need to somehow open the closet?

One general thing I noticed is that the Intellisense is still buggy.

The cache is neither reliably refreshed when saving nor when compiling and sometimes it's also wrong. For example, when I have a function oMyObject_Interact inside the function Intellisense doesn't show me oMyObject but only all function names that start with oMyObject. It happens only sometimes but it's really annoying. However, I remember I  had such problems also with older AGS versions.

Ah, yes, I'd suggest to close voting on Sunday afternoon or early evening. AGA or I would then post the final results and reveal the authors. The thread should then stay open for another week, so people can write comments for the games.

Would this be ok for you, AGA?
#3272
So, one of the major things of OROW is trust. I trust that noone did start earlier than the deadline, didn't use stuff that was not allowed or use unfair means. I politely asked that noone should vote for their own game and I trust that noone will.
AGA made a great voting system that we should all use (I will not, because I know who made which game)

Now we should stop arguing and focus on these amazing games! I played more than half of them now and they were all great and unique. I'm looking forward to playing the rest of the games.
#3273
Because then some people will be honest and vote vote for the games that they think deserve it most and others will be the usual assholes and only vote for their games in all categories.
#3274
Awesome AGA, thanks a lot!  :)

Please be fair and do not vote for your own game!

Are we allowed to talk about the games?

Yes, but please use spoiler tags so people who haven't played the games yet don't read it accidentally.
#3276
No, as far as I understood AGA's poll was about rating each game for its merits independently. If you thought two games had fantastic graphics, both could get 5 points for example.
#3277
Ideally, we would have the thing AGA set up earlier but just 5 times in a row. So you can rate every game in each of the 5 categories with a number.

Maybe we should really do like Andail suggested and make 5 polls like the one AGA did?
Quote from: Andail on Sun 07/07/2013 19:49:45
I could just start five polls here in this very forum. Sure it means a lot of polls, but it's for a limited time. Maybe it'll feel better to have everything forum-based instead of external services that people will have to click on links to find.
This way every member of the forum could vote once and only once without the need to register somewhere else.

Would this be ok for the moderators?
#3278
AGA, I think we need to vote in 5 different categories (BEST GAME, GRAPHICS, CONCEPT/WRITING, SOUND/MUSIC DESIGN, PROGRAMMING/CODING), is this possible?

@Cat: May you please upload the games as separate zips along with the game pack? Because currently I am using very limited data plan (financial reasons) and therefore I can't afford to download the games above 80 MB.
I can't do this today, I'm afraid, but I think the whole bundle is only slightly more than 80MB.

At least, not to me. It may be fun. We can start such thread in Rumpus Room (because its wild guessing) or Adventure Related (because they are adventure games). The final decision's up to the cat and the moderators, of course.
Yes, I think Rumpus Room would be the place to do this. Please keep this thread free from speculations.

If someone wants to write anything detailed about any of the games here in this thread, please use spoiler tags.
