Happy Birthday, CJ and veryweirdguy!

When I first discovered AGS there was version 2.72, I think. I didn't like it. The interaction editor felt clumsy and the handling inconvenient. However, there was already the news that there will be a completely new version. So I focused on story and graphics for my game and waited for 3.0.

Now I use 3.2.1. I love that it has the look and feel of Visual Studio and is most of the time easy to use.

I think I once read Yahtzee advising people not to release their first game, just to move on and do something better.

I don't agree. If this was the case, I would have never released Sheep Quest (I do not count the room with a key object made in AGS 2.x to test the engine as a first game).

Has your game been tested by someone already? Every game should be tested before release. So why not post in the Recruitment board and ask for testers? They can give you honest feedback if your game should be released or not.

A button to report broken download links on the game page would be nice. The recent comments list is spammed with postings about broken downloads.

Also, it would be nice to add tags to each game db entry and people can search in a tag-cloud.

Hm, based on the hint and that the movie seems to be black & white: Rumble Fish?

Flight is booked! I'll arrive Friday in the early afternoon, so there should be some time for sightseeing.

Speaking of credit, I want to take the opportunity and thank my team, without whom the game wouldn't be like it is today. HandsFree did a fantastic job with the music and alpha testing and Crimson Wizard, Arj0n and especially Tabata overwhelmed me with bug reports and gameplay improvements.

A couple more games like that and she'll turn into an Adventure geek!

That's the plan! We have to take care for future generations of adventure players and get them hooked on before they get distracted by other genres

Anyway, I'm currently working on Version 1.1, which will contain a few fixes and also a German translation.

Since 15th of August is a public holiday here, this strongly increases the possibility of me attending!

Indeed, we should make a list of games that are entertaining and can be completed in less than 15 minutes.

After voting for a game on the games page, I get redirected a page with the old layout (the one that lists the games). Actually, the voting page itself is in the old layout.

The game crashed for me when climbing the ladder in the sewer.

I played the German version.


Edit: Completed it! Super cute game. I love the casual gaming interface and the in-game tutorial.
