I think naming the game after the mansion is a reasonable thing, but I don't like the name Rushdie for a mansion. That sounds badly made up.

1) get rid of the white borders
2) this seems to be a walking man with short hair. His hair won't move that much, the jumping white lines on his head are most irritating. I don't think you will have to animate the shading on the head at all.
3) the rest looks fine to me.

Edit: 4) didn't see the resolution mix first because I was distracted by the flickering hair. Resolution mix is a no-go for me.

First we have to examine the room/corridor and see if the other half of the man is there. Firstaiding only half of the man is rather pointless. Use the gum to stick both parts together and then use first aid on him.

I'm not sure I like the "many hotspots" on one thing (e.g. desk) approach. It can lead to serious pixel hunting. How should I know I have to move the mouse above different parts of the desk?

Also, a description can add a lot to the atmosphere. You can get details not only about the thing itself, but also about the PCs relation to this object and thus about the PC himself.

I think it was in 5DAS where you could look at the doors and you would get a different answer every time (my favourite being something like "I once dated a girl that had the same door")

Call the motoring organisation with a coin from your wallet and chew the gum while waiting for them to arrive. You might also walk to the shed, find hens and eggs there and make you some nice fried eggs on your vehicle grill.
