The workload in .NET isn't that much. I could certainly write at least the xml stuff. But the other 'thing'  ;) would have to wait.

But I only start working on it, if C#/.NET sounds resonable to at least some other people. I guess it would be open source anyway.

I don't know if tcl needs some framework or other prerequisits installed on the pc and I also don't know if .NET framework would be a problem for someone.

My question was targeting more in the directon of creating a replacement that does things better (translation support, masking features like DX9 etc.)

Ah, so then I'd suggest going with C# .NET 2.0. This is part of of Vista and Windows7 afaik and very easy to customize -> totally awsome XML support. You code the standard form and show/hide controls depending on the xml document.

Well, I'm not sure a new program will fix the main problem, namely not being able to write the a file in the gamefolder.

Would it be possible to make a database query, find all games that have their screenshots there and automatically pm the persons that made the game?
#4265
Also many screenshots in the games DB seem to link there and don't work anymore. Anyone who has published a game should check the screenshots.

Has noone of you ever played an escape the room game? Usually there is no story except "You have to escape the room". And there is no Gui (just an on screen inventory maybe) and you navigate in first person perspective around the room.

It looks very promising!

Thanks, this was very helpful. Is there a list of hidden properties somewhere?

There are so many nice places to go in Tuscany (Firenze, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena,...), I think we should do some of those trips and people that stay longer in Italy go to Rome, Pompeii, Venzia.

What you also have to consider is highway toll in Italy. It's not that cheap, if I remember correctly.

@Miez

So, if its not possible, we could at least team up for the challange to get to the villa.
#4273
Could you possibly pick me up from Firenze or Arezzo?
#4274
If you don't want to change the outside view, you can't really make an attic. The roof is too flat.
#4276
I think I can manage to get from Firenze to Arezzo without any problems (given that there is no sciopero ;-) ). But how do I get from there to the villa?
#4277
I bought my train ticket to Firenze and will arrive there at Saturday morning. Are you planning to go to Firenze during the week for some sightseeing? If not, I'd spend the Saturday there and come to the villa in the evening. How will you guys arriving at Milano come to the villa? What's the next trainstation?
