just to get the game going, i want to see more drawings!!

mmmm... draw yourself BUT if you are right handed do it with your left hand, and if you are left handed with your right and if you are ambidextrous do it with your feet!

Love it, the dialogues are great (and funny) and I love that you never show the snake thing, I really wish it was longer but it was sweet, I want to see astranded 2! you hear me? and now with over 5 min of gameplay  ;)

I think it looks great, I like the tie tucked in the shirt.
the only thing is that he has girlie arms, if you look at the arms alone the look like they belong to a girl, really  :)
thats the only thing I can notice, the rest is cool (IMO)

Nice!, I really like the wobbly style, it reminds me of Dr. Katz, you should keep that!
I've never seen an adventure with that style, you can be the first!  ;)
anyways, great work, on the animation and on the software

It's looking better, have you tried doing the side view?
to me that's the most difficult part.

great job JamTorkberg, I think this is a great way to play an adventure game, it's clean and effective.
the only thing i'm not really sure how it's going to work it's the characters, walkcycles and all that, this is something technical I guess but I was wondering if you already got the hang of the isometric prespective animation and AGS programming..
I would really love to play this adventure, really!

I really like them, but IMO Bruce Brawn and his father look kind of generic compared to some of the other characters the fact that they are sprite mirrors edited also helps to make them more generic...
perhaps you cand do something to make them different but alike, (just an idea here) but you can take a leg or an arm off his father to make him more like a old strong fighter.
they all look great anyways, great work!

also one thing that grey thing is a door? I really don't know..
you should try starting on the primitive shapes of the room and then start to put the detail in place..
one other thing, what resolution are you goning to use in your game? because that room is 312x391 and to use that kind of resolution for a bg it's really complicated.

I like the second draft with the blue dress better, I think you should do something about the hair, it looks like a wig, maybe the hairline is too far up?.
this is just my opinion, but if this is going to be the main character for the game, people are going to have to look at it all the time and an unattractive main character is something ppl don't want to look at for too long.. IMO characters should be beautiful and boring (laura bow?) or ugly and funny (guybrush, bernard, laverne) or good looking and funny [Indiana Jones (hey! Indy has his funny moments)] .
I'm not sure if i'm making any sense here, and this is just my opinion (hey maybe she is fun as hell), I'm just letting you know what I think, good luck on your game!

yeah, animation it's hard as hell..
I've been looking at the old lucasfilms and lucasarts games, up to monkey island and indy jones last crusade (i can't find my the dig cd, that one used to have better animation than the others I remember) but anyways, the animation in general used to be crap, like 2 or 3 frames for walking and 1 frame for everithing else.. and as i'm going for a very "retro" look i'm going to animate like crap  ::)
When i'm finished with this 4 main characters and the first BG i'm going to start animating andd show it to you all.

OK!, I have finished (I hope) two characters, DAGO and Rick, let me know what you think ppl!


BTW the game is going to have 4 main playable characters (i will show you soon) and a lot of plain generic looking guys in the bg.

yeah! Vincent was the first Tim Burton short and was never really shown in theaters (it was a little too creppy for little kids I think), in TNBC DVD special edition they have Vincent and Frankieweenie (frankie is burton's 2nd short, but it's not stop motion), go and get that DVD now, it's the most beautiful work of art I have ever seen.

just watch your side walk cycle, it's missing the "bounce" on his step that he has on the front view, but other than that very cool style and art.

WOW, I really love it, I think it's great that you keep it free and yours, if you go with a big publisher they would probably start pushing you with dates and stuff, if you keep it for yourself you can work at your own pace..
the whole intro reminds me of the early Tim Burton Movies and Shorts, Specially Nightmare Before Christmass with the narrator and Vincent (if you havent seen vincent, go see it, it's in the nightmare special edition dvd).
Please keep us posted on the status of the game, i can't wait to play it!

I Really like it highwaygal, the only thing I can notice are the ab muscles that seem rather large for a skinny girl like her, and her right shoulder (to our left) also seems kinda off.
I really really like it, hope you post a finished drawing.
and Happy Birthday (late I know).
