Failing that, I'd go for gnu's g++

that's what MinGW is, actually.

i personally use mingw, it's a bit of a hassle to set it up but it works nicely :)

really, just go through the docs and the wiki. start here: http://www.mingw.org/MinGWiki/index.php/GettingStarted

that's what DPMS OFF / STANDBY / SUSPEND are for :)
screensavers should only be used for amusement or for providing minimal security.

General Discussion / Re: iPod vs Zune

i would recommend neither an ipod nor a zune, they're ugly ;)

i'm using a sony nw-hd5, which i would only get again if it didn't come with (and required) that silly software. but it's got an exchangable battery, that's why i got it :P

if i'd buy a mp3-player right now i'd probably buy a cowon m3, m5 or an x5

"Temp 30F" - so you're cooling with peltiers and oil instead of water? water freezes at 32F.
my pc is passive cooled, currently 43°C - anyway STICK TO THE TOPIC :)

please don't tell me your radiator is IN your case. because if it is i want to slap you :P
why are your slots open? in-case airflow is much better when they're closed.
and why did you put like 1" tubes onto your cpu but your graphics card still has its tiny fan? pff :)

I'm sorry Blake, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Look Blake, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

After some people saw my outburst on here, on mirc they thought it would be funny to type that word for me to see, knowing it bothers me. I find this act intolerable. A certain member, who I will not name, for example, thought it would be oh so funny to tell Roger to tell me that "p" word around 25 times.

That was me, i'm sorry about it. I could be all "had a tough day, bla bla" about it, but i now (thank you, Helm) see that i've been wrong.

I didn't realise you were truly offended and thought you would be joking around. Anyway, that a single word is such an offense is incomprehensible to me - especially since i've heard it thousands of times in my life - but as Helm said i don't need to poke you just because i don't understand.

I seriously would like to know what caused this word to be so offensive towards you, but as you said you won't go into further details and i surely won't push you.

Sorry Matt, i didn't want (and don't ever want) to seriously offend you or anybody.

Hello folks, as some of you know there's a second Wintermeet planned to happen at my house, around new year's eve. It'll be from the 27th of December until 4th/5th of January in Hannover (Germany).
Just like last year, someone asked some friends if they'd want to come visit, they said yes so there we go. :)

But hey, lets not get confused with intelligence and education. The smartest mind in history might not have been able to read, but could employ amazing tactics on the battlefield in war. Or something.

charlemagne maybe?

can you actually change the mail server? then point it to "screen7.co.uk".
i'll set up a mailbox for you on your domain now, remind me on msn/send me a pm on irc (just do it, even when i'm not in #ags) when you're online.

then go to http://webmail.screen7.co.uk/imp/login.php and log in, try sending mail to your other adresses. you need the password for that, which i'll set now >:)
