i could reinstall the torrent thing within a day or so and either use the rss for getting the games or give you some code that tells our server to get a new game if there's one added, cj.
this would create a stable thing after a while, like aafiles. just automatically updating itself and creating descriptions etc :)

too bad it wasn't used much so it went down when we switched servers :P

Well, the message tells you the exact problem.
Your sister's machine has the same IP as some other thing, and since there's only two pcs and a router in your network it's either your pc's or the router's.
Just assign (different, obviously) fixed IPs to the two pcs, put them in the same subnet and you should be fine.
Set the router's IP as the standard gateway and dns server IP to enable internet access for your pcs.

Google will tell you how to do it if you don't understand what i just said.

ish, it's still based on the IE core which doesn't comply to standards and gives designers a hard time. maxthon, ie2 etc are like putting a blanket on top of a giant hole

yes, in my understanding most stuff is using directx to output sound, ags goes directly to the wave output. i remember having problems with winamp and ags that stopped when i told winamp to use a different output plugin, either wave, too, or directsound..

anyway, i'm defragmenting this pc weekly, together with running chkdisk (do that *before* defragmenting. i learned my lesson some weeks ago).
my laptop gets defragmented once per month, depends on the fragmentation and on what i want to do. oh, and usually defragment my drive with music on only when i've added a lot of new albums because it's alphabetical

actually, depends on how you defragment.
i use o&o defrag on my pcs, the system drives gets sorted alphabetically => lightning fast boot.
games and stuff is sorted by modified-at-times.
temp drives gets defragmented for space, no further optimisation.

so, it generally speeds your computer up. windows' own defrag only does space, which is bad.

you probably told your graphics card to switch to tv-out only mode or sth like that, uninstall the drivers to fix it

try port 6667, it's open and working. telnet in on that port and see if unreal greets you or not.
