I presented one from Logan's Run and Quintaros guessed it so I would doubt he would present one of the same movie. I do think I might have seen the movie but dont remember what movie it was right now.

That is very inspiring, Slasher. I have worked with computers since 1981 and have been a programmer for a majority of that time. I have done mostly business programming but AGS has gotten me into trying to do some games. I know my weakness is I am not a very good artist and that has been what has kept me from doing anything serious enough to release or show off. From reading your post I think i will not give up though. Thanks for sharing your story.

cool. I was looking at some trailers about racing movies (long story) and watched a trailer for that one and near the end I thought I saw a short shot of the piston valves that looked like the second image you posted.

I dont see anything in your description that would be too difficult. I would suggest just from a programmers prospective to create scripts to handle the construction and processing of the various buildings in their own module then just calling the various functions from the global script's RepExec function. This will help keep things separated if you need to add other coding to the RepExec function.
The "call" about building progress should be a GUI.
I have done some processing for a room where the player was not in that room by setting up other scripts and running them from the global script's RepExec function so that when the player returns to the room it was not in the same state it was when he left.

Correct and even spelled correctly. I was going to ask the first woman in space but then I looked that up and didnt think anyone would know Valentina Tereshkova.

Think I am going to go with an easy one.
who was the first man in space?

I liked that episode of NCIS:LA where they had a Gurkha with them. I believe it was India or Nepal.

I have used your "PreviousRoom" idea a lot and that seems to work fine for me. Do you mean from the first room they move to a second room, move around then when they go back to the first room they are at the same location they were in the second room?
You said "PreviousRoom" doesn't work. Why not? did you have the correct room number?
why do you not want to use the before or after fade functions?
I believe the problem is the room is loaded only once and since you have been to the room before it is not executing the room_Load function again(just a thought). that is what the BeforeFadeIn function is used for. Put your Previous room code in the before fade event and I believe that should work correctly.
Using the ChangeRoom call is the preferred way though.

Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar?
just saw him highlighted on google as an astronomer/mathematician so thought i would throw that as a guess.

Don't know about the last clue but the others tend me to think of the inventor of the barometer or rather the person that was credited with the invention. Evangalista Torracelli (spelling?)

agree, that is way too vague. For instance Christopher Columbus fills the bill as he did not discover a route to India like he thought. Could also fit a lot of criminals that were wrongly accused and convicted. Another example Abner Doubleday who is credited with creating baseball never did. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin did not actually invent the guillotin. Others include George Washington Carver and Betsy Ross. Although since you mention "he" we can take Betsy Ross off the list. LOL

I cant be sure, but from a quick scan of the code in the Talkie function occasionally you use Pick/Pick-1 to reference which one and sometimes you use CallSuspect, however in the Talkie routine you never set CallSuspect variable so it is referencing the last one you called during the RandomName function.
