Cool idea Theo.
I would play that for sure.

It would be nice to have a cooperative editor so that two people can use the editor at one time.
How do the teams of game makers on AGS games handle using the editor.  Let's say one person is scripting and another working on a character.

Nice.  Looks like we have our first nominee for best game of the year.

Thanks, I am sure that is it.   I wanted to offer the game to our little local library for the kids to play.
A nice little historical game about Gandhi.  They may not want it if the game has to be installed on the hard disk.

I burned my Bapu game to cd, but it wouldn't run.  It apparently can't be written to and run.
Is there a way to get it to run from the cd.

working well. Haven't had a problem yet.

I downloaded some math fonts and replaced the double fonts in AGS
I meant just show equations in AGS.
I think making an object of a picture of the equation will work. Then I wouldn't need the Math fonts.
I am thinking about doing a interactive\documentary on Gravity Waves and Einstein's general relativity.
The focus would be on Gravity waves, but it is impossible to separate it from general relativity.
After I finish Joan of Arc, I might do it.

Is it possible to use equations in AGS other than just taking a picture of them and putting them in?
Can one program or script an equation to allow someone to work on it in AGS?
Is there an add in for math?
Maybe math fonts.

Hello I am new to this forum,

i love oldskool adventure games especialy ones made by lucasarts :)

question is:  I saw people make games for years here, that gives me thoughts that i can't handle making a simple game in ags :<, so is it really that hard and complicated to make a game? forsomeone that can do some graphic stuff but knows nothing about scripting programming etc.?

Well it really isn't programming that you have to do.  It is called scripting and is easier than programming.  It is simplifed programming.
Yes, watch the videos to get started. A good basic video will get you started.

Thanks it is fixed.  I didn't realize I could click the big box to set parameters.
I guess I have to do more exploring of the editor.

I have had a problem with the inventory items layinjg on top of each other in inventory.
I tried making them smaller and changing width and height of gui's.
Nothing seems to work.  What am I doing wrong?

Does AGS support multiple cpu's?
Performance wouldn't be an issue if AGS was multitheaded.
Maybe someone could make the DirectX driver better, or add opengl support.
Or, improve the caching scheme...

I noticed that there is no place to store videos in the editor.
I had to put them in the compiled sub-directory.
Maybe put it next right after sound on the right side of the editor.

Thanks for the replies.  I will check out the programs.

The video was saved as a .mswmm file.
What do I need to converet this to.wmv?

I apparently didn't save the video correctly.  I redid it and put the file into the compiled folder and it worked fine.
Thanks guys.

I am starting to make a game with AGS that is interactive\documentary.
I plan it to be a bit symbolic and at times abstract.
The subject is  Jeanne D'Arc or Joan of Arc.  The girl was not named Joan, but Jeanne. So name of the game is "Jeanne D'Arc."
Above is a picture of the main character.  I need 2 people to work with me on the game.
One to take the image above and make a series of walking png's of the character.  More characters later.
The other person to do the scripting and if they can do the work for the symbolic and abstract video or running picture sequences.  These would represent Jeanne's being called by angels and "voices.

Person to script
Person to do Character walk cycles
person good with videos and moving pictures

Please contact me at dbuske@gmail.com if interested

I decided to just make an interactive\documentary of Joan of Arc.  An adventure game of her whole life would take years!

I will be starting a new game.  The subject is Joan of Arc,
It will be an interactive\documentary of her life.
I plan to make it kind of symbolic and at times even abstract in nature.  How to do this I have no idea.
She was different for sure.

Below is a link to my just finished game, Bapu: the Life of Gandhi.

I got my butt going today and finished up Bapu.
Much better than my other ones.
Did a ton of research for this game.
Here is the link and 2 images.
Has anyone played my game?
