on the topic of british comedy. I no that it is the best but it ain't perfect.

The BBC has had a load of crap comedies and well as good ones.

Only fools and horses is hilarious and one of the best. Red Dwarf and Coupling are masterpieces. The Office is shit.

Fast show, goodness gracious me, little britain and the kumars are funny.

Did anyone ever watch Big Train? God that was a weird cult comedy that it did make me laugh sometimes.

Anyway, did anyone ever see the Beeb comedy TLC? What a load of shit that was. An obvious brit rip-off of scrubs that didn't work (but I don't like scrubs anyway).

Comedy is going downhill on both sides of the atlantic as the writer run out of ideas.

One big mistake I believe you've make Jodo is announcing the project too early in development. Really you should think up ur idea and give a big long try first and decide whether it can go the whole nine yards before advertising it.

I've just read the other thread about this game and I'd just like to say that Jodo, you are an oddball :P

After seeing the website, I must say that I don't like your style of graphics. I find them quite off-putting. Obviously this may explain the huge size of the demo (if it exists) but haven't you considered people who haven't even got broadband?

I don't think 3D modelling suits the game. At least not this kind of game. I'm used to Tierra styled VGA.

Notice the differenance in noses. My mine looks more natural than yours and since roger didn't have an artificial nose, I think we're on the right track.

Thats no excuse! Thats one of the main purposes of remakes. Fixing what the original guys did wrong.

I like it!

The only thing bothering me apart from a flat lookin face is that rogers nose looks...artificial...prosetic. It doesn't look very natural because it looks to be shaped like half a cone rather than a proper nose shape.

I have to agree after reading this thread that KQ is crap!

When I first played it, I wasn't wowed at all and what sort of person would want to walk about in a charming valley full of peace and beauty and flower while having to dice with certain death over stupid annoying things.

If Sierra insisted on making KQ games so bloody frustrating in this way, the least they should have done is give you lives rather than just dieing instantly or DON'T DIE AT ALL! Just return to before you died like at the end of Full Throttle. That worked wonders but nooooo,
Sierra insists on making our computer games which we may like to use to escape the frightening and annoying things in life like work, taxes and bitchy girlfriends and anything else that causes frustation, frustrating.

KQ sucks! It might have been great at the time and amazing at the time which is why Sierra didn't bother to make the actual plot and game specticular. (It takes more to create an everlasting game like MI)
It has a boring basic plot ripped off mystery rhymes and bad gameplay and the walking speed is TOO SLOW! (The only thing KQ1VGA DID FIX)
The plot could have been written by a five year old and maybe Roberta DID write at that age.

Tierra can't be blamed for this mistakes though because there are some foundations you can't break in this case. If the remake didn't have that annoying moat at the castle, it wouldn't be much of a KQVGA remake. Sierra laid the foundations for the game and all Tierra could do was build it up according to their nasty rules to keep it a KQVGA.

Come to think of it. I think Tierra SHOULD have removed all the annoying death situations and have that as Royal Quest.

Interesting. I'll do that next time. The next step is the extension. The ship will be longer.
I'll abolish the You Failed Message and replace it with a Press Any Key to Continue screen.
A new chapter after destroying the Purple Canary will be added when you discover that the robots are from a parallel universe where an experiment with AI has gone wrong and that there are still more of them.

I might also make it possible from RaY to look ahead into another room by clicking the eye icon of the edge of the screen so you can find out if a robot is in the room and about to get you. I need your opinion on this.

Ok fixed version on-line. Plz test it anyway if you'd be so kind.

I didn't add a walking sound coz I couldn't get decent FX and frankly I think that feature would just get annoying.

Also I did speed up the You Failed bit.
