Seems nice.

To criticyze, the wood floor doesn't seem flat, it seems undulated.

The green panel to the right has too much aliasing, maybe you can smooth it. The inscriptions on it are too blured too, and the left of the green panel is bigger than the right (hope it sounds understandable).

:)

To my mind, considering screenshots and animated gifs you use, the whole thing is of a rare quality.

So keep up the great job.

Man, this thread has been a good piece of laugh for me ;D.

A good way to start a day work.

Same thing with X-Files video adventure game:

I got stucked, red the walkthrough, did the right things, and nothing happened ... just Scully looking at me with dumb face...  :o

To add a game where you can die/loose, I can name 'Indy and the last crusade'. It was a little bit funny though, for example 'Hitler found the graal and Indy had to clean his boots for eternity' (something like this). You could die too (the circular saw in the temple) :D.

Come on, there's already a thread like this that's waaaaay more recent. Anyway, if you don't think it warrants bringing back an old thread, why does it warrant making a new one?

I haven't found the famous waaaay more recent topic, anyway I'm sorry posting this if it exists.

It warrants making a new one because it's seems annoying to me replying to a 1 year old post as it was a recent one.

I know it has been discussed before http://americangirlscouts.org/bbc.com/yabb/index.php?topic=22259.0 but the thread is 1 year old.

I'm expecting to play:

  • Apprentice 3
  • MI : Lost Years
  • The Woodlands
  • Legend of Lost Lagoon
And you ?
#30
More MI, this is nice.

Keep up the good work, I know how hard it is to make decent graphics (since I'm alone making my game).

Please add more screenies and artwork, the website seems a little empty.

Yeah, it's a huge departure from CMI and other traditional and successful adventure games.

Then... great.

it's the countless possibilities! you'll have tons of inventory items, and not a clue how to use them all (in fact, you can't use them all...)

(In order to make sure the game stays fun, the betatesters will have a say in the puzzles, to prevent them from being too hard/easy)
...

Just questionning, what the point of tons of inventory items, with some useless, and without clue for some ?

Great, it's great.

Now the crits:
- The village gives a modern feeling, even they're old fashioned.
- The waterfalls are too static.
- Some of village rooms look too blured.
- The non-clickable areas are annoying. Even if it's not walkable, you could move the goblin to the nearest point of where you clicked.

Anyway well done. I wonder how far can go this engine.

Very very nice. Keep up the good work.

I know mine's very basic and far from ideal, but the latest isn't only titillating to the max (had to look it up ;)), the dome looks like a square tent now.

Maybe I'll do another edit if I'm in the mood, watch out for it

[here].

If you mean seaduck paintover, I think it's good. Perhaps making the transitions between colors on the dome mor smooth, but apart of that, seems great.

To my mind Evil paintover is the best.

Only the right arm and hand look weird.

Nice, just one question:

Is the little wood house an office, cause the window looks like a counter. In that case, why not putting a pannel advice, uo the window or on its left ?

Cool, thank you all for the advice.  Here's the changed version:

I've gotten rid of the ridiculous numbers of shades and given her a more relaxed stance.  I also toned down the sheen on her hair, and got rid of the black outline around her face.  Although the eyes and feet are rather large, I like the style and it'll be consistent with the rest of the characters in the game.

Seaduck, thanks so much for the edit, I nabbed a few of your ideas.  The "shading" on the skirt is actually just a design, so hopefully that's clearer in this version.  I'm hesitant to add shadows from the right or left just because it makes it hard to deal with light sources.

How's she looking now?

To me looks nice apart of the skirt shadowing (but perhaps it's not shadows).
