improving steadily tentacle, keep up good work

love it! Im working on a michael sprite at the mo, don't know how he's gonna turn out though, Ill post it for crit when done

His outline seems a bit inconsistent, his face and suit have the same colour outline, his hat has a different colour outline and his hands have no outline at all.I agree with all the previous posts, and think a chin edit would work wonders, just a couple of extra pixels here and there.Also, he looks a tad earless, Overall nice sprite though.

Ok I tried following your tut damien, and I think he looks lots better than my original but Im not sure about the second lightest purple on my pic, I think I might have went wrong somewhere, what do you peoples think?....CRIT ME!

damien, great tut ;DIm gonna do a paintover.tentacle, what can I say? pure gold .I actuallyÃ,  unashamably cried when I read it :' I think Ive fallen in love with your game idea, I want to kiss it in many soft, special places.I have real trouble settling on plots, Im never really satisfied with what I write. Humerous games are the best in my opinion do you think at some point in the future we could perhaps co-develop a game? I mean, were both beginers, and we might be able to learn from each other

huge improvement in my opinion, the hand and shoulder edit make him look much more relaxed, and I think he looks lots better without he huge eyebrows. nice

 SHM, yes Im much happier with the face now. oneway, he is meant to have long fingers that are curled slightly at the end, Im not sure if it looks that way though, I might try some edits.Oh and the grr, I kinda did that as a spur of the moment thing, on second thoughts its not that great. Ouchmytentacle, yeah, I can imagine him with one black glove covered in rinestones . Any more comments?

I dunno if this helps, but he looks a tad stiff, kind of like he is on a coat hanger, is he meant to be tense? I agree with buckethead, his skin is very pink.maybe he would look good with a stronger outline.
I think the second version is better, the nose is still bulbous and comical, but it doesnt look like he is wearing a clowns nose.

ok so I got bored with messing around with that damn dirty dodo. taking the advice of mash potato I did a new sprite only with saturated colours instead of drab ones.
the sprite is meant to be an alien in the mood for love. but I think he might just look angry.... what do YOU think? plus, do the colours work. ANY imput welcome.

okay me old skips, I have given him some much needed pupils and saturated the hell out of him(perhaps too saturated now) So........ any comments? too bright? too few colours? could do with a hat?

monkey island 1 and 2, with emphasis on the second.
my favorite ags game is 5 days a stranger.
streets of rage 1 and 2 for mega drive, they kick arse.
broken sword 1 and 2, dott, sam and max, full throttle, bass, they all kick arse in their own, creamy soft way. that is all I can tink of at the mo, I might modify this post later.

  ta very muchly to all of you I have tryed colouring numerous sprites and have never been satisfied with the results, which is why I probably have truck loads of sprites
tucked away that are screaming out to be coloured. So, just for you kind souls, I shall set about colouring this most rotund of birds. see you in a mo!

ok here he is in all his feathery glory. Its the only sprite I have been happy with....ever.
But there is always room for improvement. Any comments or small edits to the sprite would be much apprechiated tank you.
