wow, someone got away with a real nice thread dig.  I guess most of us forgot about this one to the point of thinking it was new. Hell, I almost posted again with my belief-  that the fact that I'm trying to lure people to me would turn off any stalker.

We've theorised elitist forums in the past and its decided always to be a bad idea. If someone gets married, (like Spyros for instance) or engaged (like cleks for instance) or circumcized (like LGM for instance)- and they want AGSers to know, they will post in the general forum.

Really, all you should worry about is the possibility of an AGS member dying- as that is the only thing that would keep you from ever hearing from him again (assuming that person cares enough to update you).  If he just left because he hates AGS' guts, calling him won't make you feel any better. And if he did die, what will you tell his mom or whoever answers? " Hi, I'm GameHaxor's online buddy - not a stalker by the way - just calling randomly to find out what's going on with GameHaxor and why he hasn't visited the forums lately?"

So really all that should be done- is for each AGSer to establish someone in their real life as the bearer of bad news.  Just leave a note for a loved one, or tell someone-

"If something should happen to me, can you please post a topic/ or email _______ telling them the bad news? This is really important to me."

I think some of us have thought about this possibility before, and some have already asked someone.  So if you wish to do the same, please do. But please no one see this as an opportunity to fake his own death.  That would be entirely uncool, cliche, and frowned upon. Aight?

For some reason I feel like I'm being watched... and laughed at.

I got no rhythm.  But atleast I got to say the coolest word ever: "rotundly"

I think that feature would have been implemented in the game if the programmers took the long ass time to program it. Sorry, but think logically for once.

you have to be the most productive (as well as talented) artist I have ever seen. Hehehe, keep cranking Neole.  The only thing that freaks me out is the tires on the blow up doll van.  Are they turned the same way, opposite way?  What sort of craziness is this? ;)

No, I think the fake enthusiasm is perfect. It is a costume afterall. I believe his posture, dialog, and actions will well represent his disposition.  And the humor in fact will be based on the contrast to his smile.  Haha, ok make the game short but please do leave it open for a nice epic.  Looking good so far.

As far as the character, I really dig him. The animation could use a frame or two when he lifts his arm and the eyes and mouth could use some depth. But brilliant other than that.

It would be fun if the character switched between wearing his costume head and not wearing it.  Like- whenever he's in employee areas or when no one is aroung, he takes off his mask.. but puts the mask back on when he goes outside- otherwise kids start crying or his boss yells at him. This could be part of a puzzle or just a cute thing to add to the atmosphere- something to think about.  Will add more later.

A game set in a theme park setting could have great potential.  Especially with the quality of your artwork.  What I suggest is as follows:

Setup/Intro etc-
A costumed mascot is first kicked in the nuts and then peed on, thus he cusses in front of a bunch of kids. His boss witnesses this and is about to fire him when suddenly another mascot starts trashing the place in the distance. The boss is distracted and runs off, forgetting the first mascot.  What's going on? Why are all these theme park mascots going psycho?  Our hero sets out on a journey to unravel the mystery or perhaps conspiracy involving disgruntled carnival workers... going even deeper than he ever imagined.  In a Beverly Hills Cop 3 sort of way we explore the theme park inside and out, and many puzzles involve manipulating rides and  traversing secret employee tunnels.

Hell, I'll help you all you want if you're committed to this ;)
Just don't let anyone try to convince you into making the "Real Monkey Island 3"

hehehe.

First of all, we all know that the word "Colossal" is in Eric's screen name.  Secondly, we also know that there is a certain "metallic" super hero with a name very similar...

That's right! It's Silveric Surfer!

How is it you can shoot the laser.. with... the sunglasses still... on?

See, now alot of people mention Kelly, but I'm warning them to take it easy. He's only made one film, let's not put too much pressure on him right now, give him some room to breathe. Hehehe.
#1315
Haha, give him a break- you know he meant Morgan Freeman afterall.  Samuel L isn't THAT old.
#1316
Lil, that doesn't seem to me what you've been doing.

Things said by the one you claim to be would be like:
"Well you guys may not like it, but I'm still convinced it's one of the greatest movies of recent.  However I respect your all's opinion."

See, now- if you had consistently stood up with your points using language such as that, those opinions would remain very well respected.  What you have said are things like this:

"You all are just too lazy..." "You guy are just too cynical..."  "You guys are just pissy"   etc etc -  "in order to appreciate this awesome movie."

Stating things in this way gradually loses one's credibility, you see. For now the argument is no longer whether "Reloaded" is a good movie but rather "is EvenWolf being lazy, cynical and/or pissy?"  Of course I'm not, this movie will make a billion damn dollars whether I like it or not.  I am in the minority of Matrix goers, I actually say "It could have been better if it focused on these aspects instead".  You , LGM, are in the majority of filmgoers who can call a movie "the best of its time" based on CG explosions, implosions, fight scenes, and psuedo meaningful bullcrap.

So don't act like the art piece is getting more flak than praise- as you and a million other people are exagerrating just how good this heap of junk is. ;)

I had a dream last night that I was back in Highschool french class.  Ah, man- those were the times.

Hey, take note Magintz hasn't been around for a bit. Give em some slack.  Altho I disagree with almost every point he has about the movie :P, he has a right to post his opinions.  And maybe I should have made my subject line a little more obvious..

the Coens, Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Scorcese,  Luc Besson, Bob Odenkirk, heck and even John Landis after watching Three Amigos today.  :)

Fantastic, somehow I knew I would enjoy this simply by the title of the thread.  It's interesting how much emotion and atmosphere you can give something with so few lines and details etc. Good luck with this one.
