I love that background, very flashbackish?  or something. And the animation is just stellar, jumping etc.   Lush comes to mind for some reason.  Hope someone makes well with it.

there's always misinterpretation.

For instance, I'd be hesitant to reply to an email If I knew it would be posted on a forum...

or maybe he still fears being interpreted as egotistical. Just don't form sound opinions based on silence is all I'm saying.

Yes, I think some people have to realize that perhaps the community wasn't so well established back then.   I mean, I'm just theorizing here-  I think perhaps Yahtzee found a window of critical tyranny in AGS history.  It's just a matter of him having a game or two, and therefore status "above" everyone else.   People like Pessi weren't around yet to balance the negativity "newbies" were receiving.  So Yahtzee perhaps kept a little bit of a monopoly by suppressing other's hopes? Maybe? But what would he do when suddenly other people announce games worth praise and therefore gain voice in the community as well? Give up his status? That would require a complete change of character, something quite difficult to accomlish.

Well, I'm kinda torn on the issue. I use my name on my website and all that good stuff- and I did that so people COULD find me on google.  Because I left Knoxville kind of abrubtly and figure ONE day someone might wonder about me, I dunno .  I think it all comes down to what the hell you're doing and who you are.  If you're a 12 year old girl with a website about your favorite boy band, I advise you not to publush your name.   Or if you're working on an invention that could make you millions of dollars, do not put too much info on your website as to where you can be found etc.  But I think most of us are ok, I don't think we're in the "helpless" or "potentialy theft worthy" category.

stalkers don't stalk lonely people, it would be an empty gesture.

Oh, I was talking about me, not you.  But then again I wasn't talking about me, I was just being funny.  Well, ok actually I wasn't.

Leave the arguing for another thread, gentlemen.  I've said my fair share of things about Yahtzee in the past, despite my not knowing him.  And I feel bad about it.  If certain members of the community have negative feelings about Yahtzee,  those members should not try to pass down those feelings to new users.  If Ben shares his game with others, let them enjoy rather than bring up personal qualms-  it's like telling someone not to enjoy American Beauty because Kevin Spacey is gay.  So what? If he is, does that affect his acting ability?(okay, this is a rhetorical question)

Anyway, I'm resetting my Yahtzee meter.  It will stay at "neutral" until Yahtzee personally gives me reason to raise or lower the dial.  Perhaps he's not even looking for redemption in this community, but that does not mean I cannot offer.

------------------------

the parchment is a riddle regarding the panel on the steps- for each line, determine a color (ie- sadness= blue, gold= yellow) and hit the buttons in that order.  It's kind of hard to figure out at first because the buttons don't click or do anything until you get the whole sequence right.

Grund, your game is the closest amateur adventure game I've ever seen to CMI quality.  The animation, dialog, voice-overs, bgs- were all splendid. I really enjoyed it.  You really took advantage of the resolution too, it  looked amazing.
