from wikipedia:
"Philologist Allen Upward used the word "scientology" in his 1901 book The New Word as a synonym for "pseudoscience", and this is sometimes cited as the first coining of the word."

Do not confuse science with Scientology.   I really prefer that the word science go nowhere NEAR scientology.

Nikolas, your langauge lends me to think you visited & tried it out?

It seems like they have plenty of depth for a religion.  Its just so new, arbitrary and cult-like that any of the depth should be given credibility.

May a thousand pounds of dragon pork fall on your head!

Altho I like your design!   The 5 year anniversary of Barbarian's club may decide to use it!

How do you figure 9.11 was involved with the creation of emo?

Perhaps crowds of high school kids lept onto the phenomenon due to the attacks but I was curious if you interviewed emo kids about their reasons for their lifestyle choice.

I'm sure scientology wasn't the first religion in which faith & a pyramid scheme lived side by side.

Scientology is a good lesson on humans and their needs.  Weak people are offered strength and in this case, a 12 step program.

When I was a kid it was a actually a fun hobby to look at the ceiling and find as many faces as I could.   You know those whipped textures they use soemtimes?    You can make out tons of faces in that stuff!!!

I always wanted to grab a ladder and draw the outlines so I wouldn't lose them.

On a completely different note....will anyone trade me their Peter Gabrial nosebleed section ticket for this lousy Genesis Backstage Pass?

Facebook is much better than ---edit myspace.   The layout is so simple and clutter free.

Also, News Corp. doesnt own facebook.  You can find me on there:  Jesse Spottswood Moorefield

I absolutely HATE being a spoke in worthless piece of shit wheel.

This has applied to me with movies.   As an actor I have no control over the story.  I represent the character in the movie but sometimes have NO control but to say yes or no.    If i say yes and the filmmaker is an imbecile I'm helpless.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atGLjFYJl0U

This is a peice of shit I acted in.   I actually WROTE the best dialogue in the movie, which is the vampires discussing their motives at the very beginning.  The rest is FILLER.  Happens to me all the time.  And I argue with the filmmakers about their shitty opinions but ultimately you're not making the movie.  They are.    If it does porrly in a film festival (which it did)  it reflects very poorly on me.   So in this case there's little gratitude in seeing it fail.

Luckily as far as professional Hollywood movies, I fell in absolute LOVE with the movies I worked on.   25th Hour and Hustle and Flow.   Hustle and Flow is my first onscreen credit.    God bless those filmmakers.  They even won an oscar.

I said I'd post footage but it'll have to wait until tomorrow or another day.    I could upload a real quick clip of people in costumes but who hasn't seen that before?

My friend and I are workign on something truly amazing.  I think you guys will like it.

Jack Sparrow was the only person we approached with a camera because we knew he would go for it.   He's actually a costume designer who makes that sort of stuff for people.    He has a Willy Wonka outfit too.    He was cool but it took some warming up for me because he's essentially making money off of one actor's performance.

But he does a decent job.

I'll post footage in a few hours.

They held one of those fanboy conventions in my town called "Adventure Con" so I grabbed a camera and tried to film as many lightsabers as possible.

Billy Dee Williams was there, as was Chewie, Darth Vader, C3PO, the midget from Pirates.... here's the rest:  http://adventurecon.com/guest.html   I missed the first two days and really just walked around for an hour before skipping out.   I didnt feel particularly inspired to talk to anybody because of the huge signs that said "$25 Autograph Picture"  near the celebrities.

In fact C3PO gave me a nasty look when I snuck a shot of him.   These people are such fatcats!  Some of them were "third ewok from the left"  or "darth maul's chambermaid."    I sure would have liked to have interviewed Jaws from James Bond but here's what I did get.

The voice of Grievous walked up to me and admired my camera.  He's a sound editor for Skywalker Ranch.   He was really awesome, just friendly and forthcoming.   He referred to Lucas as "George."  I have some video.

93 Ford F-150        2007- ????

this truck has an interesting story behind it.    I bought it from a close friend of Terry Kiser, the actor who plays Bernie from Weekend At Bernie's.    I told the truck's owner how big a fan I was of the movie so she had Bernie call me.   He actually told me the synopsis to Weekend At Bernie's 3  which he is trying to produce.   Hence, this is the Weekend At Bernies Truck.

Nacho, I got dragged to LotR without ever showing interest one way or the other.  I can understand if a group of friends or family pushed to go see Pirates together.

In this case a theme park ride spawned 2 credible franchises....

My theory on Pirate Lords:
Spoiler
Jack is supposed to have inherited/stole his piece of eight. Barbossa was a captain long before he joined Jack's crew. He lost his ship and joined Jack's crew with the intention of mutinying upon Jack. (which he succeeded in doing). So Barbossa could have gotten his piece long before Jack came into the picture.
Also the Pirate Lords aren't just chosen whenever a new fearsome pirate comes into play, but instead are the original pirates who captured calypso or something like that. This is happened long before the first movie.
Remember, Jack most likely stole his piece of eight.

At this point you are writing the movies for them.  :)   J

Writers of pirates 2 & 3:   Do you think they plan it all out or are they just making it up as they go along?
