Innerspace isnt a stretch.

It was a really gripping story about men shrinking themselves down and being injected into Martin Short.  The movie was awesome.  It probably made me think about biology more than any other movie or media.

Ban me.

Kids should learn that corporations and their promotions are nothing to get excited about.  I only WISH that someone did the same for me when I was in my teens.  I wouldn't have become obese on fast food and soft drinks. get over it.

Ninio - I did it too.

I felt silly about it and voiced what I thought was a clever analogy.

AND NOW WE SHALL WRESTLE TO SEE WHICH CONSOLE IS SUPRMEE!

and the PS3... Well... It looks like a printer.

Am I the only one who thinks printers look damn sexy?

In all honesty, getting worked up over the console designs is just ridiculous.  I just realized.  It's like rooting for Hulk Hogan or Macho Man because one is more intelligent than the other.

It all comes down to the games- I could never buy a console at launch, but I am willing to bet the PS3 will make the games most appealing to me in the end.

I'll just list off some of my favorites from my childhood. Whether or not they fit your tastes, they'll at least be nostalgic for a lot of you:

Big, the Tom Hanks movie where a kid magically becomes an adult

Willy Wonka, naturally

Milo and Otis the talking cat and dog movie voiced by Dudley Moore

Homeward Bound the clear rip-off, but arguably superior talking cat and dog movie

Roger Rabbit the classic humans interacting with cartoon movie

Cool World the obvious rip-off, and clearly inferior human/cartoon movie

Mannequin the most ridiculous movie ever made

Mannequin 2 the worst movie ever made

Short Circuit 1 & 2 the talking robot made by the government that goes AWOL

Batteries Not Included flying saucers help elderly people from being evicted

The Toy  Richard Pryor gets the deal a lifetime to babysit a huge brat with the coolest toys ever

Toys Robin Williams attempts to save his father's toy factory from being over-run by a general who plans to produce military weapons.

I never liked that chap.

I think I shall bid and have him tattoo some sort of racial slur on his forehead.

Hey have you heard about this thing called the lottery?  You buy a ticket and den you pick out numbers,  if yo numbers get choosed you win.  Its dat awesome.

I don't live in australia but I think the AGSers who do won't have a difficult time discovering this promotion thanks to Coke's MASSIVE marketing budget.  Sodas are bad for your teeth - if you drink any, DRINK LOCAL!

And for me that means Dr. Pepper.

Revolution only looks cool with that plastic basestand, but separated it looks as bland as a coaster.   And I worry I'll accidentally pull it over with my controller cable.

360 looks better than the X Box, but thats only because they've realized that symmetry creates aesthetic.  But I'm just not hearing enough about the actual device to be impressed.
And its launch games look lame.

PS3 looks aerodynamic, and that is clearly the future of game consoles.  At certain angles it looks like a silver football.   I just imagine little japanese men running into the endzone with it and spiking the ball in front of Elijah Wood and Bill Gates.

Kinoko hit some really good ones.

I think you value these movies because they offer you another, more mystical world to escape to.

"Red Flyer" fits this theme perfectly, but it does have very dark parts.

--- edit: whoops, I did mean "Radio Flyer" afterall.

51.  Hit yourself for not printing out the "50 things To Do While the Power Is Out" while the power was still on.

His appearance is funny too. He reminds me a lot of Mel Brooks.

haha, I met Lloyd Kaufman two years ago when Citizen Toxie premiered.

Those guys are nuts but they taught me a lot about cheap special effects.

Everytime a head gets crushed in a Troma, like the kid hit by the car, they use a melon filled with spaghetti and fake blood.  So awesome and affordable.

Well I think part of it is that the studios have to basically sell the movies to international markets.

I've heard stories about certain countries and districts requesting changes before the movie plays etc.. But I think the delays will become less and less in the future.

Kevin Bacon is in a lot of these movies.

Some of my favorites are White Water Summer, Footloose, and Hollow Man.

I own White Water Summer and I could watch it every week.  The dialogue is great, Bacon's character Vic is such a crazy bad ass, and Sean Astin is the scared geek in all of us.

Actually, I go to a midnight screening called Weird Wednesday almost every week.  They purposefully play bad/funny movies and obscure ridiculous things.  The last movie I saw was Star Crash, a Star Wars rip-off starring David Hasselhoff.

Stu, I hopped on Photoshop and gave it a shot, and it just seemed to bring out the balck outline.

I appreciate the tip in general, I'm just not sure if I prefer the outlines for this one.  Altho it is tempting to draw a background for "Bubscrub" just to see...

haha.

So I had a small sketch lying around that I did of guybrush, I dunno I must of just been bored in a coffee shop somewhere.

Yesterday I scanned it and realized I could shade it fairly quicky by turning down the opacity in the layers with color- and that would bring out my pencil shading.

I'm sure this is a typical way to shade.  I only just realized yesterday.  It's not done, the boots really bother me- and I have no plan for him.

I'd kind of like to see him animated with that crazy walk he had in Revenge of LeChuck.

I think I'll name him Bubscrub Tudypine

Squinky I like Marcus a lot.   I thinkof him as a spiritual descendent of Charles Bronson.

You should think of him that way too.   :)

Grundislav just keeps surprising me.

What a great series, sometimes I wonder if G has like six ghostwriters and 8 interns working under him. And then I think "how can I become one of them?"

i've played each game and beat them all. All of them were challenging but easy enough not to give up.  My thanks to G daddy.
