Take Pib from "the apprentice" I jump over to the forum of that game and asked the makers if I could included Pib in pub master quest.4. wanna know what they said? they said yes they even said i can edit him to fit my game.

Did you credit them?  Did you include a "thanks to" section listing off all the unoriginal content?   Because making one statement that says "I made this game" implies you created everything, even the *included* material.

Great Scott!   I have a couple rooms done, decided I would save it for later.   BUT MAYBE!  Just maybe I will make this happen!

Wyz, Nemo, & White all deserve applause.

I found that "In Pursuit" does something great which is building up to the chase.  All great car chases begin with moments of tension and uncertainty!

However "Surf-Chasing Dr. Doom" was so catchy and had a bass line that reminded me of Axel F.   It's a more casual car chase, the wind blowing through your hair as you drive.  And it has great build up as well!

"Car chase" has some great themes that it could build off of to expand to an awesome song, but it might be too short to judge as a song.   It doesn't get into a rhythm, which is crucial for a car chase.  Serious potential.

So between "In Pursuit" and "Surf-Chasing" I decided to judge on the following criteria:   Which one is cinematic?  Which can I imagine in a movie?

And "Surf-Chasing Dr. Doom" totally wins my vote!

Translated.  (hope you don't mind, I think people can now read faster.  I think it will sell the idea better if everyone understands the first time they read it.)

Hey Sledgy, its a cool idea although I predict several problems.  Chiefly, the moderator should always be a third party so there isn't a conflict of interest.  You are both the judge and the moderator for the very first ComCom??

@Dual

What does "Why do we never protest when our work is overrated?" mean?

That the artist should turn away flattery?  Curious.

Looking good.   I might be going crazy but I cannot make out "three red lines"!

Thirded!    I like the style.  Kinda whimsical and hectic BUT you know how to draw the player's focus.

There's also been a study recently showing that by taking "the pill" women are choosing different men then by natural instinct.   (scent usually leads a woman to a man with an opposite immune system in order to protect potential offspring)  The pill is fucking up this natural instinct, and hence "true love".

I thought that study was really really intriguing, if I can dig it up.

Redwall, I'm no physicist either, but I'd say you'd be safer quoting Murphy's Law in the future.   I know I do all the time!

Don't let talking about your game become a substitution for making your game.

If you're the type of person that loses interest in an idea just because someone bad mouths it or claims that you stole the idea,  STOP talking about your ideas OR begin to take comments with a grain of salt.  Yes, there was a similar joke in The Simpsons, big deal.    Use the joke anyway as long as you came up with it.

Your first project will undoubtedly have many mistakes but no mistake is worse than losing focus and quitting.    Don't be the guy who starts and quits to the point of absurdity and never releases a finished game. ahem..

Perfection can wait.  Focus on completion.   Continue to take notes for all your games but work toward a deadline for your first smaller project.    Scale is your friend.   Start small with either a RON game, the MAGS competition, or simply give yourself several small goals such as a two room game with three puzzles.   You will make mistakes, and those mistakes will be ones that you learn from for the next, bigger project.    Always repeat this mantra:

"Big game later. I'm not sacrificing anything but beginner's mistakes."

shouting fake at everything they see without proper counter evidence

Authenticity needs to be proven, not the other way around.   No one is going to prove aliens don't exist anywhere in the universe, likewise no one will prove there is no God.    It works the other way around and not for absurd reasons so everyone should come to terms with that easily.

That is the core problem, and not with us "anti-believers"... another label.

It's quite common in the "believers world". They come, arrogantly, claiming that "they know something that the rest of the world doesn't" (Which imply that they are smarter than the rest of the world, of course)

Then, what they believe is debunked by sensible people... They are proven that, they are not only smarter, but also sillier... They they step back and deny what they previously said. A classical movement.

He even said this to me,  "If this stuff is boring to you, then there is no wonder you doesn't believe at all"   implying that I missed something intelligent in Adair's story.   I'm so confused, but not surprised... I'm glad a believer has come to see a fraud for what he is.
