I have been playing with the code and solved the screen judder.....

I`ll just spend some more time on the other problem..

I`m not sure why it doe`s it though ,once the screen starts scrolling the hotspot and background screen go out of sync..

I have been playing about with this engine and made some alterations.....
What i am trying to do with it is make it a multi directional scroller using big backgrounds...eg 2560 x 800..

I`m having trouble as the hotspots for the walking platforms don`t line up its as if what you draw on the background is not in line with the hotspots drawn over the picture....

It also judders the background picture if the character go below  the 300 y position....

if any one can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated if not i`ll just plug along til i suss it out..

I totally agree with DGMacphee on wht he said....its just fun it don`t matter....its not like its an oscar..or olympic gold medal.

I don`t mind as i stated....earlier.

I mentioned the d/loads as it has given me the inspiration to finish the prequel....which will enhance the first game and maybe tie up some loose ends......such as the black box.

I agree with vel for once grr!Bearly sane is a cracking game and got most of my votes in the awards i thought it deserved......its low d/load rate is cause its fairly new..

If you first choice was jamaica..............try the domician republic its got the sun ,blue sea and white sand beach.....at a fraction of the cost...........the only downer is they speak french/spainsh or something like that............still a pucker holiday though..

Teletext hols are shite.............i`ve been there done that ........the hotel room looked like we`d wrecked when we first arrived and we had`nt had a drink yet...
Also our room was above a club that stayed open till 7 in the morning so you had no choice but to stay up and get pissed...(Not sure if that was a bad point though).

ps its barbados/antigua for me when i can afford it.........its worth missing a couple of holidays to save the money for one.....beleive me.

it would be great to win both  but i`m just glad that my creation moved enough people to be mentioned.....good or bad.

3795 downloads is what makes it worth while....

Edit:- finished.........one of the best ags games i`ve played...your attention to detail was excellent.......i presume it took a long time to make.....

A seqeul would take less time as you have the main character anims.......please make more of the same.

First machine was pong.........binatone it had five games soccer,tennis sqaush all various pong games.

then coleco vision.......zaxxon,donkey kong, and a game called turbo that had its own steering wheel ..thats was back in 1982 i think it was any how...

then the spectum(excellent machine...)  jet set willy ,knightlore, sabourter, popeye.........this was the machine that had me hooked on computers.

C64......i can`t remember any games on this but they were all good.

amiga......another excellent machine well worth the 400 quid it cost....1988 i think it was...
maniac mansion,zak mckrakken,operation stealth,monkey island games and every other game you could mention..........i still have my old amiga 1200 in the loft....(i must get the thing out and fire it up some day.)

pc....full throttle.......made me buy a pc as it was outstanding in its day......talkie adventures were new then.

the dig (tops).....day of the testicle..(all time favourite)....

Shit........... i`ve spent a lot of my life playing computer games....

.........sex normally sells.

It would be easier to rip of some mp3`s and print off the covers.......

I`m sure kylie,robbie williams and anyone else you can think of won`t mind you making a few quid .......

I think this is a more profitable idea than selling freeware ags games.

You can put flashbax and apoc :vel on there if you like.........you might need to warn of the content though...
