Just started playing this and so far it looks awesome! Pretty high quality stuff for a first game.  And I love the clean graphics style!

Some of my biggest inspirations in there! Thanks Ben!

Hello. I would like to offer my services as a graphic artist, particularly in the field of background art.

If you are working on a smaller project or are planning on starting making one, but need someone to do the background art, maybe I could help.
A smaller project is preferred (but it doesn't necessarily have to be small) because my share of time is limited.

Examples of my style:

I only do low-res (preferably 320x200). I can also do character art (as seen on the images above) if necessary, but I feel more comfortable with backgrounds. No animations though! And I think I can take no more than one project at a time.

Send me a PM if you're interested!

I was more confused last weekend.

Nice! Congrats, zyndikate!

Thanks! I first draw the line art, then add colour, then go in deeper and add shading, small details etc. I guess it can be called pixelart.

Thanks people! I'll do my best to finish it this autumn/winter/next year. And I love drawing vehicles! :D

Hello! Just bumping this up to let you know that the project most definitely is not dead. I haven't been very active for couple of months but last week I got things rolling again and ended up making a big portion of the game. It's been a productive few days, I progressed the story, drew bg's and characters and even wrote some tunes.

I'm almost at that point where I originally planned to release a demo, but I have abandoned the idea of making a demo at all, because... I don't want the demo to just be a piece of the game, because that would give away too much. Besides, it's not that long game anyway. I'm a slow developer.

Can't have a threadbump without a screenshot:

General Discussion / Re: Pixelart proportions

I make them about the same size, a tad bit bigger perhaps (~25x70 pixels). I find it to be suitable size for 320x200 resolution.

If you would also choose to add few pixels of height and width you will also be able to draw smaller details such as glasses. Example in my case

I removed the outlines on the road and path.

Changed the black outlines on tree and car to a darker shade of their colour.

Did the same for the characters:

Thanks for the replies. :)

I'm gonna do outlines for characters and objects and no outlines for background then.

The image doesn't show for some reason, but I think I get the point. I'll try to do something about it.
