I would have to say 2006 has been the best for me so far because I found AGS and started working with AGS on my first ever game, realising my life long dream of making a game for the first time and I am going to try and make 2007 an even better year with working in AGS on my game. I have a really good teacher here from the forums ;) so my scripting is getting better. Good luck for 2007 all of you, I reckon if you put your hearts in it, you'll make the best of it ;)

Hi I just had a look at this thread, I feel I may need this feature at some stage and wanted to run a question by some of you who know how to work this feature of switching between two playng characters.... and pardon my newbie question lol.... but here goes, I want to know what a 'cutscene' actually is in a game... as in is it a specific feature that needs to be coded in or a room/background... and where would I put the code

in, as in what part of the script editor and which one - global or local? Just saying if I did have to use this code too. This is a good thread :)

with the devil and deacon, u just need to wait it out, the cobblestone doesn't do anything I dont think, you just pick it up and thats all.... and just wait.. the devil will eventually take the deacon anyway regardless of you tryin to convince the devil to be fair with the deacon.... I did try and play the stone on other items and maybe you try that too...

Rosa has taken the deacon to the stone room where the light is but the devil has closed the exit door, trapping Rosa, and I have talked to both of them.... but nothing more.... I wonder what I have missed. I hope I dont have to restore to an earlier part of the game.... anyone know this part of the game with the devil and deacon?

I too would like to know the figures too :) I have an unbalanced view of how my game might sell, would it be successful, etc but it is very early days yet. And I could do with advice on the best way to distribute, how I would without getting rejected, and so on. I feel Dave's Blackwell game is worth a good buy and I have enjoyed playing it :). So anyway, if sales figures cant be posted here, could Dave PM me? Anyway thanks, its great to know we all here have each others support in our game endeavours :)

I had a lovely xmas, I got:
From parents
- 512MB ram for my pc, she's 2 going on 3 in march, so time for an upgrade for her
- 30 dollar Angus and Robertson book voucher (I love books)
- vanilla oil perfume (I collect perfumes)
- 2 purple singlets

Bro and his gf: CK One perfume and a calendar.... and a baby!!! Yup I am about to be blessed with my first niece or nephew in a few days time!

Rellies: (they did Kris Kringle - like secret santa, pickin one name and givin gift to them and they don't know who its from, etc) I got a really nice bathroom bag (I think from one of my aunts), yep very pretty and plush, just what I wanted, now I can throw that horrible ugly old blue junk of a toilet bag that I have had for years, out!! Yay! And oh I got hand lotion and really nice smelling bath salts that my K.K. rellie put in with the toilet bag. Definitely what I have been wanting for ages.

Bro's gf's mother: A funny talking and moving Christmas turkey, not a "cooked" type of turkey, a live-lookin one of course with eyes and beak lol!! I LOVE it!! Just makes me larf so much and maybe I will take a photo of him and post here one day lol.

From my best friend:
Beautiful calendar that means a lot to me with something written by her in it that are real meaning words. Yup shes one of the rarest truest friends I could ever ask for and this calendar is my one and only fav one :).

Other friend:
Gorgeous natural lookin green dress with leaves and flowers embroidered on it, nice material too and makes me look great thank god! Brings out the blue in my eyes, and she got me a damn calendar too (yeah another one!!! Lol but nice enuf and I can use it in the art studio at home ;D).

Lol when I saw this thread, I temporarily changed the date on my pc to 25 dec and hahahaha the msg came up lol!! Mind u, I would have worked on my game if my rellies had let me ;D - being Italian they wouldn't lol, now that I'm on hols from work for 2 weeks I have all the time in the world for my game ahhhh. But I tell you tho, just b4 rellies started going home I snuck upstairs to play a game that Dave Gilbert had just delivered to my email (yep pre-purchased and just released) and I just played for hours which was a lovely way to end the xmas day celebrations lol. Cosy and warm in my bedroom. Yes I am in aussie and it usually is HOT on xmas day but this yr we recorded the 1st time in 76 yrs the COLDEST winter - even having some snow, a big rarity and first for me!!!!!! So it was cosy to snuggle up with my game til bed time (that means 7 hours I did not get off lol - thats games for me, both playing and making ;) ).

Hmmm ok I did that, I know it encourages more urine but.... what for? I dont understand this point, I completely fail to see how useful it would be for the player....? or is it for the dog? I really dont know how to do this, can sumone pls help me... pls tell me HOW do I use the pill? Cos there is no way of 'using' items.....

And I too am a Dave fan ;) this game really tops it!!! I have been playing it for .. probably 24 hours now (but of course with 8 hrs sleep and a tea break in between :) ) and I am still playing it trying to solve one more problem. It rocks and was worth my money :)

I know that the girls called up the Deacon with a Ouija board, and I know that the ghost (Allin, was it?) was fond of dogs. I figure I can use Nashanti's dog to get her to accept her death, as per Joey's explanation.

I want to get the dog to follow me, and I believe it has something to do with the dog biscuits. Whatever I do, though, Rosangela just gives Moti the biscuit, and it doesn't follow me out or anything. Do I need Joey to scare the dog towards the door? Do I need more biscuits? Is there anything else I need to do first?

Ah, yes I have, I spoke to him about everything.... hmmm..... I noticed after I looked at the 2 family photos from the letter, after Joey appeared into the game, that the photos changed - they have Joey in it as a ghost, and I talked to joey about those photos.... so I wonder what I might be missing. I asked him about Devonport but he doesnt say much on that and it doesnt change the list. I am not sure if Davenport is the person that Rosa must use as a name to get in to see Susan...

Hi, just been playing the game, it is excellent! I am stuck somewhere in it at the moment... I am up to where I have now seen the ghost man in the family wedding and christmas photos and talked to Alli the ghost in the park and gotten the Deacon and Ouijia board as one entry line in the notebook... I am stuck at the part as to what I need to do to progress, how do I get the security guard to let me go and see susan lee in the bellavue hospital? Hints would be great... and how do I add in that 'spoiler' hidden text box? (never done this one before so my apologies).

*puts my hand up* I know I will probably need something like this :) as in my game I will be having a magic spell system and money increase/decrease, etc. This would be so much appreciated. You guys are marvellous module makers!  ;D
