There are advantages and drawbacks to all of these. Tumbleweed gives you more verbs to play with, but takes up a part of the screen. And you better use all those verbs, too. Sierra and BASS lose some of the intricacies, perhaps, but offer you a full screen for your graphics.

If you have limited time on your school project, then perhaps BASS will save you some time, as you only have to code responses for the two clicks? It depends on what you are going to make. Best of luck, and feel free to ask more.

Well, I spent a bit longer than five minutes.  :-D It's a well put together escape game with emphasis on searching for items and clues. Nice job, and congratulations on the release!

I guess it's only one ending?

Awesome! And then I hope the Creature from the Black Lagoon makes it into game number 3!  :-D

The head could possibly be a young John Travolta?

No idea about the movie, but is the woman on the floor in some sort of superhero outfit? Bionic Woman?

AGS Games in Production / Re: Snow Problem

I clicked on this message, believing it to be a tech question about snow animation.  :-D

Sounds like a cool idea! Looking forward to the demo.

I've played through this, and it's short, but good. I like the characters and the feeling of participating in a weird sitcom. But it was over way too soon! Nice graphics, music, sound and plot.

I would have liked to actually see the reward for solving the final puzzle.

It would feel natural to have Hector's friend acknowledge his help by donating to the kickstarter. I guess this will now be early in chapter three, but I think it belongs here.

The downside may be that if I pay for three more installments in this series, the game will cost as much as Strangeland. Now, I can afford it and it's no great expense, but still.

Dick Turpin?

Perhaps you ought to give Beat The Buzzer a go? Just to try Found Footage in an adventure game/visual novel setting? Well, sort of.

I guess you've seen the Norwegian Trollhunter? From what I read, only Scandinavians seem to think it's a comedy.  ??? Good lost footage movie, anyways.

Snarky's solution is the most professional, but I believe when I did the same error you did, I could solve it by adding the function again by typing it into the room script file and leaving it open or commenting out what was supposed to happen. Basically, you can't erase stuff you make with the buttons in the editor by simply deleting the lines in the room script.

The English version is now working! Thanks so much for fixing it, Hector!   ;-D

I have the outlines of a story, but I doubt I have the chops to pull it off. We'll see.

Thanks for the comprehensive list. That's a whole lot of references! It always pleases me when people go out of their way to cram in stuff like this, and it's so cool when you get some really obscure joke.  :-D

As it's no fun winning by default when it results in noone telling you what they thought of the game: This was a funny, very tongue-in-cheek parody of a Bond plot. I especially liked

Nice work on the riddles, too. For this player, the European cities were easiest, while I'm not that up to speed on the rest of the world, apparently. Well, at least I got to see what happened if I got it wrong.  :-[  I didn't actually think that you would

Big kudos for that!

So, could the game be improved in a later version out of the MAGS scopes? Adding more cities to choose from would make it harder (especially if they were close to the correct ones), and I guess one could also make the selection of the next city random in order to increase the replayability.

All in all: Good job! And congratulations on being a worthy winner!  (nod)

Hi all! I've had an idea for an adventure game for the past couple of years and then I heard about AGS. Looking forward to making my game idea a reality  (nod) (laugh)
Hi, Eisnerguy! Welcome to our friendly site. We look forward to seeing your game idea become reality, as well.  (nod)
