Stupot, I have an unfinished game and could use an extension if possible. If not, I'll release it anyway after the deadline.  ;)
Sorry Helton. I thought I had replied to this. Do you still need a bit of time?
Yes, but not much. I have a finishable game which needs a bit of debugging.

Vampire Wombat, you're thinking of the right show. I find it absolutely hilarious.

A couple of more pics, because why not:

Pell, the zip file is empty. Could you please re-upload to itch.io?

Hmmm...guy in a cape? Seinfeld?

BINGO! You saved me from having to find another shot that wasn't of one of the iconic locations of the show. I was probably gonna go with the Jon Voight bite scene.

So, your turn and by the way would you agree to wear this shirt on The Tonight Show tomorrow night?

But...I'll look like a pirate!

I have a backlog at the moment, but this old Boulder Dash player will definitely play this eventually. Looks very good!  (nod)

Jonathan's Adventures is a short escape-the-room game from the $105 adventure game jam, where you need to help Jonathan escape a prison cell before the ogre makes ingredients out of him. Two endings, well suited for a lunch break.

Yes! Cursed is correct!

While not exactly a must-see, the show delivers some stylish entertainment and provides another spin on a familiar tale and some familiar characters. What if a woman wielded Excalibur instead of Arthur?

Sinitrena, you're it.

Hints & Tips / Lost on Cow Island Demo
Wed 20/10/2021 02:44:49
I finally managed to clear enough space on my HD to play the demo of Lost on Cow Island. But now I wonder if I have downloaded some in-between version by accident.
When I couldn't find more to do, I checked the walkthrough text file that came along inside the zip file. Curiously, this file doesn't correspond with the demo I'm playing. There are no matches in the room next to the farmer, nor is there a pipe in the horse's trailer. Additionally, it looks like the walkthrough suggests that the demo ends after talking to the goth girl and the Venus Flytrap. It doesn't. The first time I entered the shop, the girl wasn't there at all. (Or I didn't notice her, but I don't really believe that.) It's possible to go further and talk to the assayer in the jewelry shop on the next screen.

Does this make any sense? Have I got a demo version without an ending? Have anyone played this and finished it?

Thanks for the reviews, heltenjon! I couldn't work on an entry this time, but they'll help me decide what to play.

And thanks for the encouragement to write more of them.  (nod) I often find myself reading old threads to see old comments about old games that I consider playing - those games are new to me;) So I think perhaps some musings can be of help to someone else, somewhere down the road. But it's nice to not post into a vacuum.

I played Jonathan's Adventures because it looked short, and I saw that it was made with AGS. This is a short escape-the-cell game, with charming English from Google Translate. Jonathan has been captured by an ogre and needs to escape before he's added to the soup. There are two ways of escaping. I enjoyed this short game. It's too short to earn top marks, but there's plenty to be pleased about here. Well worth playing if you've got a ten minute break.

Is that a grown-up Hobbit?!
Is this that LOTR spin-off series?

No, but we are firmly in the genre of (historical) fantasy. I haven't posted a picture of the lead character yet, which I reckon would make it all too easy.

Well, maybe...expect all stills, no animation or sound, but perhaps some jokes. Don't know if I'll have the time, but I've got an idea.

I played another one from the 2020 jam: One Last Good Time. Very sad story about dementia. It's well done, really well done, but it's hardly a feel-good game. I like the attention to detail, like

how the pictures on the walls gradually lose their faces, or how the geography stops making sense.

I guess you know yourself if this is your type of game or not.

I discovered I had some of the games from last jam still lying around on my hard drive, so I played Francium at the Zoo. This is the third in a series of games about a small robot community, and if this game is anything to go by, they're all worth checking out. The robots have funny personalities, and the puzzles solutions tie well into who they are. There are some annoying bugs in the save game function, but the game is still playable if you keep separate save slots...the barriers you have cleared may come back after reloading. Still, the game is short enough to play in one go. Recommended.
