Quote from: CyrusRe: Cadaver Heart - Still in productionThis is mostly just showing the locations and graphics. You can walk around, but not really do anything. Pity, it looks good.

The project is officially cancelled, but what exists of the game can be downloaded here:

Or played online here:

Apologies for bumping, mods can lock the thread; just wanted to let you know.

QuoteDriftwalkerThis is a very nice game where you have to go around on a space ship and try to save your crew members and find out who the impostor is. It doesn't feel like Among Us, even though there are some similarities. Even without polish, this one is well worth trying.
QuoteZap and AndyThis is as NSFW as it gets, I guess. The player takes the role of a demon who gets different odd jobs or quests in hell. All the characters, both demons and damned humans, are flamboyantly gay and horny males, and the sex scenes, while cartoonish and exaggerated in style, are very graphic. There are mini-games and actual puzzles to solve, and it's pretty well made, even though it won't be everyone's cup of tea, to put it mildly.
QuoteBest Buddies In : Corporate EspionageThis one is a Buddymon fan game. I'm not familiar with the franchise, but had no problem playing the game, which is a pretty straightforward breaking and entering game with some mini-games and code puzzles. The game mechanics relies more on code breaking and understanding the mechanics than traditional inventory puzzles.

Quote from: Schedina on Sat 22/06/2024 10:29:48I have an AGS game that is not in any database..This thread is meant to provide access to AGS games that otherwise are lost or difficult to find. If you have a link to your game, we would be happy to play it. But I'd rather have it in the regular database, where it would get more views and playtime and feedback. If you have uploaded the game here before, I guess it must be under a different alias, as there is no easily found trace of it now.
I once uploaded it here with a lot of description as to what it is, what's the reason, etc.
Quote from: Jordanowen42 on Fri 21/06/2024 04:33:31Awesome but how do I implement "SayAt?" The dialogue page doesn't give me a place to enter code, just dialogue options.
// Dialog script file
@S // Dialog startup entry point
cAlfred.SayAt(454, 74, 100, "I am happy that Master Bruce values my input.");
return
@1
cAlfred.SayAt(454, 74, 100, "Perhaps I should prepare a simple meal?");
cAlfred.SayAt(454, 74, 100, "Some Mulligatawny soup?");
cBatman.SayAt(483, 225, 100, "Tempting as that is, it will have to wait.");
option-off 1
return
// cAlfred.SayAt(454, 74, 100, "Hello, old chap. Back so soon?");
// cBatman.SayAt(483, 225, 100, "I am Batman. I never left.");
@2
cAlfred.SayAt(454, 74, 100, "It might prove opportune to get a good night's sleep for once.");
cBatman.SayAt(483, 225, 100, "I manage on micro-sleeps and this tantric meditation technique that allows me to rest far more effectively than by regular sleep.");
cAlfred.SayAt(454, 74, 100, "If you say so, Master Bruce.");

Quote from: Snarky on Fri 21/06/2024 07:00:47In general, this whole approach is probably not the best way to do what you want. (You'll also have to deal with the text advancing on timer or when the player clicks.) I would suggest using a GUI with a Label. Then you can set the text however you like.This is what I was hinting at in the first reply.
Quote from: heltenjon on Thu 20/06/2024 08:46:18I'm not sure using the dialog system is the best way to do this, but ok.
Quote from: Jordanowen42 on Thu 20/06/2024 02:19:47Hello all-I'm not sure using the dialog system is the best way to do this, but ok.
So I'm doing my first dialogue section for my game. It's actually the dialogue system being used to allow the players to read journal entries from a computer screen. To that end I need to be able to make the text appear on a certain part of the screen and only take up a certain block of space rather than covering the whole screen in the center. Any advice on how to do this?
QuoteAlso- I have set up the dialogues so that each one goes to a separate screen where the person talking appears on one side of the screen while their words appear next to them in a black void. I did this by making a second room from dialogues. To that end I want to make the last option of each dialogue menu be "EXIT" so as to allow the player to return to the previous screen. Any advice on how to do that?I think you can simply change room to player.PreviousRoom (The same as above, you need to indent by a space or two before using a regular script command).
Quote from: FortressCaulfield on Wed 19/06/2024 21:32:07...and here's me galumphing in with my sloppy, janky nonsenseIf it's any consolation, you are not alone. Here's one of mine from a couple of years ago. Even forgot to link to the game!
Quote from: tag2015 on Tue 11/06/2024 12:01:23Developer Theo Brochet (aka Rural_walker) https://rural-walker.itch.io/ released several short games which are no longer available on itch.io.I copied this from the GAMESEEK thread in order to have the working link for Le Lac here. This is a visual poem of sorts, or perhaps a poetic walking simulator. The player walks along a beautiful landscape, while lines from the titular poem appear along the way. Beautiful and relaxing, but all the player does, is clicking to keep walking forwards. The game aspect of it is very limited, in other words, but it works as an interactive animation, interpreting the poem. (Which is in French, but there are translations easily available.)
The only one I could find elsewhere is Le Lac https://www.moddb.com/games/le-lac
Quote from: TheTMD on Thu 23/05/2024 17:47:42Double updateThis one is in Italian only, and it's quite wordy, especially in the dialogues. I played it with a phone translator and escaped. I doubt I would have managed without reading the clues.

Quote from: TheTMD on Wed 26/04/2023 20:24:07Putt-Putt Saves The StewThis game is designed by a child 4 1/2 years old, it says. It's very charming! Kid's drawings and voice makes it hard not to smile when you see this. I suspect there is a bug somewhere, as I and my kids couldn't finish it on our first go, but it made my day anyway.
QuoteKidnapper Escape - room escapeIf not for the blue cups in the files and the setup program, I wouldn't have thought this was made with AGS. It's a short escape the room game, 1.2 Gb of hard disk space and five minutes playtime.
QuoteElvvesSoundless Gobliins-type game, albeit a lot easier. The player has to make a strong elf and a clever elf work together to get Santa ready for Christmas.
