Thats a damn good BG Opo  :o!

I have always had an idea of developing an adventuregame to more real-life like, that would be a very difficult task. I think you made a good decision to make it a one-room game, so that you can have more control over all the func's. Hope to see it finished soon  ;)

I have to say... everything looks GREAT!

The character also works splendid with the background beacause he is just  a bit simlified then the backgrounds (which makes him more in focus).

:D Finish the game >:(!!!

Has anyone played "Elvira - Mistress of the dark"?

The graphics on the wolf pic reminds me of that game and Elvira was the scariest game ever (in 1991) but I think it still is...heh.

Anyways Wolf country for me has a mixture of the first secret of monkey island version and Elvira.
I get SO nostalgic when I see this game somehow, it feels like I'm back in 1991 and a new brilliant adventure game has arrived.
Don't get me wrong, it's still brilliant even for 2004.:)

I would love to be a beta-tester but I can see theres a lot on the list.
Great man! ;)

Hello!

I have some *.mpg -files that played well in AGS 2.56, but in the new versions they are flipped upside down. I have tried Flipscreen(1); but then it flips on the side and FlipScreen(2); nothing changes.

Does anyone know this problem?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi!

Sorry for not keeping you updated (been attending to a school, but now I AM FREE!).
I was wondering if anyone like to beta-test the game?
I only have some animations and scripting before the demo will be released and would be glad if someone can find some bugs or other obstacles.

Well here's my e-mail: jonas@xtreem.nu, and on MSN I'm: anton_foy@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Ahh...really good atmosphere there.

What amazing backgrounds you make! :D

Wacom is great but be very careful with the pen, because I busted mine and it cost as much(almost) with a new pen as the whole set itself.

I just saw your ingame screenshot...WOW!
You have an original style and it looks so professional.
I really like the plot and it's very good you came up with such a special place(a lagoon),cool.
How do you draw the backgrounds?

Sorry I haven't finished the demo yet, a few problems came up(as usual) but I try as hard as I can to deal with them.

I guess it will be available for downloading next week or so... :-\

Hello it's me and my brother here, we made a little tune for inspiration to your game.

The background we had in mind for the song was your first one (the outhouse) in nightime/dusk.

Thanks a LOT Strazer (and Scorpiorus)!

Hi GarageGothic!

Yeah you are absolutely right.
I use a poser-like program for the characters mainly because I don't have the time drawing all the frames myself. Since it's only me and my brother (who is making his own game right now) making the game it's kind of an easier way to model them the way we want.

Funny to hear it reminds you of "broken sword", that is my favourite adventuregame. :)

Hello guys!

Problem: I wan't two non-player characters to have a conversation animating with speech-sound while they speak BUT I need the mouse cursor to be visible and moveable.

Is there a way? I have tried animate character and playmp3file but it's almost impossible to sync it. And also, I can't "Changecursorgraphic" of the loading cursor because the hotspotdot position will change.

Thanks!

Hello Opo and Autofire!

Gee Im really glad you liked the pics and even resized them :D.
I draw the backgrounds with a pencil on a white paper(-towel :P) then I scan it and color it in Photoshop.

BTW the branch in the forest pic I made before "Alpha blending,PNG's" was  implemented, instead I made the blur by three stages of "SetObjectTransparency" but now I realize it was totally unecissary ::).

Man I really like the cartoon-style, really good!
Did you come up with it yourself or have you been especially inspired by some cartoons?

Anyway Good luck with the game! :)
#38
Thank you a lot!

Im going to call the project...

The Artifact
(for now)

"Did you rip them from another game?"   -Heh, I take that as a compliment ;), no I made everything myself.

It should be in the 1950s that's why I choose the hat... and because it looks corny.

The game will be about a photographer who gets a mission involving an artifact, the demo will take place on a ship (as seen in the first screenshot).

If you could come up with any better name for the game or just have some critics on it, feel free to ask/reply.

Thanks a lot! :D

I don't want to tell you about the story too much 'cause the Demo will be downloadable soon.
It is going to be a full-lengh game but I don't know if I'm going to chop it up in episodes every month (will probably be every 2nd) or finish it and put it on the net only then?

What do you think?
