I don't think it matters if you poisoned the rat, as for the painting - you make the paint by mixing oil, flour and then adding some colour - try looking near well for that.  Then you need a palette - maybe you have picked something up that you could use, then you have to put something down on the floor so you don't make a mess. You will also need to look round for a brush and ladder

slow the game down to its slowest speed, I used the wrench about 6 or 7 times (and saved in between just to make sure) and then shot him

interract with the rat and the trap, to get into the cellar perhaps you could tie somehting to the hook on the wall so you could climb down

I pushed the plant and found it but I think if it isn't there you can find it in the cupboard under the sink or under the bedroom carpet, sorry I can't be any more help

use your scissors to cut wire and then use duct tape on ends of cut wire - you have to interract carefully with end of wire

As the inventor approaches the tree throw the coin just to the left of the tree in front of calsoon then you can pinch his belt

after using elevator open janitors cupboard and get crowbar - use crow bar on crate after lowering down from hoist

have you the lemon to make the recipe with - if not you can get that from trhe old lady in the flat opposite, then you need to get the flower - for this you need the whistle and cause a distraction in the park, when you have the flower use your kitchen in the flat to make the recipe up

you need to research the flower, Click on 'Two for heaven' in notebook, (two for heaven is actually 247 - page number,)  then click on the occult book you have in your inventory which will give you the recipe.

In the room with lots of crates there is the cargo lift in the corner and the computer, fiddle with the computer and look under orders and the status unknown one.  Ask the man about that cargo and he will turn around looking for it , perhaps you could do something with his drink so you could use the elevator
