Duuuude, you're very talented! that graphics are lovely, and the plot looks pretty interesting so far!
As a infrequent animator (just for hobby), I really like those animations, they are very careful. Can wait to see more!

Really nice game, dude! It's short and fun, and the main image in this thread is very professional!!!!

Just a little thing about a puzzle, (I will write this in spanish to explain myself better, don't expel me, please D:)

Spoiler

After that, I can say I recommend this game :D

May 2019 vs. July 2020. Oh, how far we've come.

This first version was a quick sketch so I could experiment with implementing an isometric perspective in AGS, but more than a year later, a lot of the elements have ended up finding their way into the final version. Bit of an improvement, I'd say!

Anyway, here's the playlist we've been using to get in the mood for Dr. Samuels' adventures, in case anybody is curious as to what direction the music will take in this act: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6xZnkp3bI626WTx28j4zUb?si=KF0OKdQsQnCUnw03o0CyIQ. Unlike acts I and II, in which the soundtrack was made up of classical music pieces and Irving Berlin songs, act III will feature a series of dark-industrial-ritual-ambient pieces created by yours truly!

Amazing work!!! I'm really excited for the release!!! I can't waittttttttt
About the language, it will be in spanish?

Since insomnia212 recently told me he didn't have time to translate, I'm asking if any other AGSer want to translate the game into Spanish.
I'm also still looking for anyone willing to translate the game into German.

After all this time, did you get the translators in the different languages? (I'm spanish speaker, but it's truly extensive to me 14 thousands words. Plus I probably need to use google translate to get a more accurate meaning of the phrases)

Perón means Big Pear
But you are talking about Juan Domingo Perón, right? I mean, if you are talking about a person (name/surname) you can't translate it to big pear (And I know the translation of his name that some made, but it's wrong, it's more like a meme).

But it's just a suggestion, an opinion, finally is your game and you can use whatever name you want hahaha

Pd: Today I will download and play it

The joke is "chin" (in english) is "pera" or "mentón" in spanish. But, "pera" (in spanish) means "chin" AND "pear". So, Perón is obviously a last name, but if you analize the word, it means "el de pera grande/el de la gran pera" (the big pear/chin's one). So... he want to take "pera" as "pear" and not as "chin"

Woooooow, it look beautiful! Just a silly and obvious question... it will be a commercial game?

Yeah, nice idea! Can have an updated version of that magnificent tutorial will be awesome! and hear how his voice has get older :P
I want to get advantage to say that tutorial is really really usefull and I love it, but may be could be arranged in other way  (sometimes he teaches how to do something not fundamental at the beggining of the series) and with Udemy will be an excellent opportunity to do that.

Thanks you so much to everyone! My plan was originally learn how to code in ags, but Im considering apply the knowledges in other engines like gamemaker as example. The idea of learn code is exciting to me, and in particular the answer of crimson wizard inspired to me to try to learn as much as I can. So, I hope get something usefull from all of this. Thanks you so much again and I see you around in the forums (:

Hi everyone!!! I'm not pretty sure if is this the right section of the forums...whatever; I want to tell you than I decide to learn python from 0; the idea behind it is learn how to program because I don't know nothing about programming, except the very basic concepts as variables, functions, a little bit of loops and things like that. I find a very well course of this language in YouTube, so I start the study a few days ago. My question is the next: do you think than I could code and adventure relatively well (a decent code I mean) just learning python?
I know AGS use a C bases language, also I read and understand the script tutorial included in the help file of the editor. I have all this question because I heard python is an excellent language to learn programming from 0, and the idea of learn second language as C or C++ from zero just for make a game in AGS is... "agobiante". So, I hope you guys can answer this silly question and wish you strength in this hard times. Excuse my poor english btw! Thanks!!!

All this makes me want to continue the series even more.

Man, I am reading your book and it's like water in the middle of the desert! Incredibly job! (the videos are really really good too, but how the english isn't my native language, it's more easy to me read the book than hear you talk).
Please continue with all this, and share all your ags knowledges!!!!!!

With love, me.

Oh, interesting! I didn't knew about the transcription of the manual. Why it's in github? Is a improved version?

#55
Hello, fellas!

Today I saw in the online version of the manual, more especifically in the scripting's section, the part 1 of this tutorial say this: "The Scripting Tutorial is online here: http://www.bigbluecup.com/actutor.htm" and, as you can imagine, the URL doesn't exist.

I'm not pretty sure why say that, 'cause the part 2 of the same is working perfectly. Please, someone check this!

Here is the link to the manual https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/manual/

Thanks!

Thats sound not easy to do, but I will try. Thanks a lot for the advices!!! :)
#57
Perfect! Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm insecure. I will try it to see how it looks. Thanks for the answer, dude :)
#58
Very impressive!!
So, I probably could something like that in my home. The question is: the A4 format will be enough to get the necessary definition for this?

General Discussion / Re: Which story? :)

I liked the second one! :)

Hello, AGS community! it is my first post here.

I'm sorry if my english is very bad, but I'll try to explain myself the best that I can:

I searched in this forum and I don't find any usefull about the hand-drawn backgrounds of LucasArts adventures. My question is the next: how was the process to digitize this draws? I mean, I want to do something similary but I'm not pretty sure how do that. My theory is the next: they drawn in paper with a unknow size for me, paint it in watercolor and then scan it. Later, they resize the image to the tipical resolution of their adventures (320x200) and the draw look pixeled as usual in their adventures.

After this, I will procede to tell you my situation: my scanner is for A4 format. If I draw a background with A4 dimensions, then scan the paper and resize to 320x200, my handmade draw will look like the LucasArts backgrounds?

I hope you can understand my doubt. I'll waiting for your answers!!!! Thanks you so much!
