Of course it's boring and unoriginal way to get off an island but do you think that a man trapped there would say "Nah, I'm not going to build a raft to get outta this hellhole, it's been done to death, let's think about some more fancy way" ? You'd better give a good explanation why NOT use raft, that was the point.

If there is material (wood) to build a plane, wouldn't it be logical to decide to build some sort of raft or boat to SAIL away from the island...? It would be logical and proven working thousands of times. Provided there isn't realy HUGE fish or whatever swimming in the sea of course ;)

Kinda blurry, cellphone camera.

I consider my view rather pleasant one.

Hey, mate!

It seems like A Friend has meanwhile gone international without you knowing that

http://www.excal.cz/excalsite/hv24.html

It's Czech publication and can translate as Games Digest (volume 24).
I don't know whether you will be pleased or pissed :D

Anyway A Friend Indeed is a great game and deserves it's place on cover CDs so it won't be the only occasion IMO.

Czech Republic amongst countries with lowest piracy level in the world? Hard to believe but it seems that things are changing for better over here. Heh, I bought a Piece of Legal Software yesterday too :).

Congratulation Darth. I discovered just recently that it's a great feeling to see own game in a mag. Good job. How about a sequel btw?

Well, whenever I see a piece like this it always makes me want to grab a pencil and piece of paper and do something equally great.... only to realize a couple of hour later that I'm never gonna be that good. It happens just occasionally and mostly Bill Tiller's art is involved... which basically means that you reached the sub- orbital of perfection (sub only because everybody can get better).

Hats off.

In fact I knew it was going to be on cd somewhere since I was in touch with the magazine but I didn't know they were going to do the review inside. That was surprising.

I just bought a computer magazine LEVEL which sells about 50.000 copies each month and guess what?
Coup de Cup is included in full games section of cover CD/DVD. But better than that: It has a review inside the mag (quite positive one) with screenshots and stuff.
Yay! I didn't expect this but it really makes my day.

Hey Pete, some cool GFX. Only the character looks too...eh...contemporary? If you want to make look him more "medievalish" get rid of the shirt collar and give him some tighter pants. But if he's a time traveller it's perfectly OK.

Well if you want to know MY opinion.... they can.

Greeks are underdogs hungry for success and high on quarterfinal euphoria shot. But not only because of this, they are very well organised and mix of Greek temperament and German discipline works amazingly. Anyone remembers Euro 1996 in England? Czech Republic was surprise of this tournament as they reached the final and were 20 minutes from victory loosing 2:1 to Germany at extra time... Their style was very similar to Greek this year, solid defense, well organised play and deadly breaks. Some claimed this kind of football is boring (and were right IMO) but it is quite effective and it can make any "favourite" nervous.

Also there is "underdogs underestimation" factor. Greece made it to semis and everybody should be well aware of this fact but still the players can subconsciously underestimate this side since Greeks never achieved anything substantial at international level. This could be leathal and maybe this is the reason why French are on holiday already.

To sum it up, I see Greek chnces higher than bookies at Ladbrokes.

But being Czech myself, it should be clear that I hope for exact opposite. ;)Ã,

 >:( Sucky Czechs? Let me ask you: who apart from Czech team plays entertaining football on this tournament? And let me assure you Czech players and fans are VERY reserved about their achievements so far. They only say "we are going step by step and we shall see". I didn't see a single article in newspapers boasting "Our Team Is Teh Best In Da Wurld" type of thing! Maybe in foreign press... And yet they could boast: did you happen to take a look at EURO statistics?

Czech team IMO is one of the most modest in this tourney as opossed to many overhyped ones and proves it's qualities.

BTW I didn't see your squad to even qualify.

I am looking forward to see today's Czech Republic - Germany game. Czechs don't have anything to loose and can play relaxed and entertaining football while Germans will be determined to win and will fight to the last breath (if necessary).

Germans know they can't play defensively as only victory puts them through. It might be another great match. But what worries me is number of substitutes - it's probable that completely different team will play tonight compared to Holland game. It's almost certain that Nedved, Baros, Koller, Rosicky Poborsky and Galasek will rest, maybe even goalkeeper Cech.

That's 7 people from 11 and that can be rightfuly called reserve team. I am worried that this B team wont be able to compete with Germans and the defeat will send Holland home. I hope I am wrong.
