Unreal!
No dialoges, no monologes, but only diaries of dead people.
Your goal wasn't to save that world but just to survive.

Jackalope. A rabbit with horns that doesn't exsist. Like the lockness monster.

By the way, this is my 200th post! Yay, me!

I'm shocked and awed that two more humans enjoy this game. I hate it because of my spelling errors and that I changed the story so much to avoide animation.

The walktrough is in the game zip file as a zip file that needs a password. I added it to tease the player. You're stuck in the game, you have a walktrough but can't read it. Psycological warfare, baby. (but you found the password)

There's a walkthru for Escape at a link from first post by Aga at this subforum.
No. That's another game that begins with ESCAPE.

Didn't you won 100 dollars?

I've booked and payed my flight. I'll arrive at 15:15, a half hour earlier then the Brits so I can just make my way to their terminal and wait for them. 8) (are those smileys different or do I need glasses)

Let's take, for example, Penny Arcade. A famous gaming and comic website. Now, let's take the FoY development team for example. Screen 7 ask Penny Arcade to publicize their game. Now, for PA to agree to this, they're going to want to see that a) the game is going to be good b) their audiences are going to like it and c) they're not going to be advertising a title that's going to go dead after a few weeks of empty promises. If artists or something are needed for the project, PA can advertise for them. If Mark wants fully animated cutscenes, PA can advertise for animators to volunteer for the project. PA basically supports the project (obviously I don't mean FUNDS the project). In exchange, Mark must make sure the FoY team stick to the set milestones and that the game is released on schedule, and also FoY is 'published' by PA, in that PA get to claim a certain amount of credit by sticking their logo somewhere in the game.

There is already someone with the rights to make Dr. Jones games. LA (a.k.a. Lazy Assholes) will notice it more and more if the game becomes more mainstream. I'm afraid what will happen to m0ds when they send in the sharks with frikk'n laserbeams attached to there heads. The prorgammer of LA might like it but the legal department is a completely different department. They pray on cases like this. Easy money. I think the more underground it is, the better.

But yes, if you put alot of time and energy in your "long length" game and it looks like a pro then it should be played by as much people as possible. Not just adventures, but any great freeware underground game. Pakoon! anyone?

I have never cared much what others personal oppinion is about me, although it has grown in the past few years. Sure, It's nice when people say nice things about you, but when they do it to much I cut them off or ignore it. Same thing with people who scold me though.
My folks know that I have a mind of my own, so they push nor pull.
(I do take other people oppinions in considderations and decide what is best, myself.)

But if you live your life by only making other people happy then your not a man but a slave.

I was getting tired of those topics anyway.

Another question:
    Tomb Raider
    LBA
    Alone in the Dark 4
    Dino Crisis
    Zelda - Ocarina of Time
    Mario 64
    Resident Evil

Tomb Raider. No, it's action-adventure. Just like Max Payne, you enter a room shoot everything that mover, flip the switch and enter through the next door.

Little Big Adventure. I played a little a long time ago, but I don't think it has adventure puzzles.

AitD 1-4. YES. You have to shoot monsters from time to time, but when they're gone you still have to solve the puzzles. (and you can't shoot open locks)

DC. Havn't played it, but looks more action then horror. ???

Zelda OoT. Zelda has always been a RPG (IMO), but this time it's in 3-D and more action-adventure.

Mario 64. No. They say it's an adventure, but they mean a new Mario adventure. (3-D Platform all the way)

RE. YES. Survival horror games ARE adventure games!
Arguements:
They are story driven. (they got 10x more story then a horror film)
The story has some plot twists and secrets to be revealed.
You have to solve puzzles to get further in the game. (and in the story)
You have an inventory with objects to solve puzzles.
You have to explore and use your head.
Ammo is rare. Sometimes it's better to run away. (in shooters, you can't run out of ammo and get point for every kill)

Yuf, I thought your avatar was a 3-D model. :o
Who did those characters? You?

btw. Nice issue, Vel.

1: A jungle. (When I focus I can see FOTAQ for some reazon)

2: Adventure puzzles. Some games have them, but focus on fighting. They fall in the rpg or action-adventure genre. The action-adventure genre is very vague...

3:Revolution software, Broken sword.
Infogrames/Atari, Alone in the dark.
Infogrames has done alot for adventure games. They should get more respect for still publishing adventure games.

4: I always get a fealing I forget a good title when I make those top 5 lists.
(no oppinion)

General Discussion / Re:Sex and Dating.

Christians leaders saw marriage as a sin. Until the 12th century when the church started to ask money for the marriage.
Most other religions see it as something sacret. The romans saw it as a touch of a god. And there empire wasn't chrushed because everybody was at an orgyclub.

Is sex addictive? I don't know. It probebly is. Otherwise there wouldn't be 16 billion of us.
In that movie "40 days and 40 nights" the guy had some problems. That guy is a loser. I can remember that I didn't had sex for 35 days (and that includes handshakes as well). You know what happened? Nothing. I didn't saw women in underwear. There were no lesbian couples chasing me. Of course there isn't much that could tempt you if you don't watch MTV.

For the people who want to wait after they're married: Sex, like everthing else in life, you get better at it the more you do it. Studie some porn movies before the big night. Because the first time I did it, I didn't know what a clittoris was. ???

Feedback:
I like the photoshop one better, because you can see the effect of the lamps (Is the shadow effect of the pipe ok?).
You got the texture of the upper wall perfect. It had to be said.
The blue plank on the wall looks so clean and new. Break it, spit on it!
The floor has only one color stain. This is a space bar. Everyday a hunderd aliens spill there beer. Some of them leave a snail trail. Some of them aren't housebroken...

edit: ps. I got some ideas for the chalk lines. check messages.

Why do you always see the negative side?
That kid looks happy, why would I feel sad for him/her? I feel happy for him/her.
And Jet Invictus was a link to Sol invictus...In memoriam...a adventure game that I finally finished...don't confuse your oppinion with facts.

And that IS what this is all about. (you and me)
You said that I should say sorry. what Is it that I should be sorry about?
I'm sorry for having a differend oppion that you.
I'm sorry that I don't change my mind when you bully me around.
I'm sorry that I was still trying a seous discussion with you when you were changing my arguements so that they didn't make any sence anymore in a childish way.

By the way, I did changed my avatar when you complained about it and said it was to big. But when you say I want you to delete your sig because I don't like it. that's not a good arguement. Maybe that would work when you're the dictator of Farland, but here in the real world there are people that like it. What about them?

And to make things clear! I DON'T LIKE THESE FLAME WARS.
I thought " uhw...funny".
And to post it, because "I always like it when members share" (Farlander)
Not to harm migs in any way.

ps: I WILL change the sig in time. Just you wait for what I have in mind. Nothing shocking or rated XXX, but only coolness.

The question is "what does the 3-D part add to the adventure-game".
Would GF be less awesome if it was in 2-D? Yes (IMO), the camera angles would be impossible in 2-D. BS3 did a great job (IMO), moving behind the played and the zooming out from the left, beautifull.
But EfMI... The 3-D part wansn't used right. It could just as well be 2-D. (of course that wasn't the only problem. Boring story, boring characters, boring sittuations, boring backgrounds (IMO))

Last. Myst was 3-D. And the adventure-gerne was killed by the Myst-clones (IMO).
