So typical...the mitteneers are so worried they'll miss out on interesting forum discussions that they take down the forums while away.
That's what the yanks call preemptive moderating.

You could try to go to Namen (Namur) and get a lift. Saves about 4 hours.

Shouldn't Grundy be on a plane right now?

They say they payed more than half a milion euro's for the Chateau (they did the renovations too). The owners live next to it in the barn (the building with most of the bedrooms). They also own a tanning factory (or have a location for it) which is also on the domain.

It's tradition that the people who sponsored the stay in the chateau get the brides suit. So AGA and CJ...

edit: One of the bedroom floors is all crooked.
And this dude built the chateau for his mistress.

Don't forget Ocean's Eleven and Charlie's Angels 2.

AGS will be banned from google once the google bot goes through this.

I never seemed to have this problem. But I frequently remove programs and games that I don't use.

Company of heroes is THQ, Battlefiend is EA, Call of Duty is Activision. How hard is it to remember, gosh.

I use 2.62.
Why?
I know how to program in old skool. It goes faster than in ags 3 which I'm not familiar with.
AGS 3 might have some cool feats but do you need them to make a good adventure game? Maybe.
I'll look into ags 3 once I get my creativity back again.

EDIT: ooops, sorry for the DP

I was kidding about Freddi Fish. It's a kids game.
There is a runaway 2, dark seed 2 and innocent until caught 1 (seems you played part 2). Just so people know.

I'm sure you played most of the amiga adventures too, but just in case you can search and watch some here http://recordedamigagames.ath.cx/modules/news2/ .

How do you feel about survival horror and 2.5D games?
#173
The problem with modern adventure games is that they aren't that good and aren't that many that one might slipped through the cracks.
Runaway,
Broken Sword (They lay on top of my computer for months)
Sinking Island (is still wrappen in pastic)
Nibiru,
Tunguska (are amusing Broken Sword clones)
Vampire Story (is about to be released)
Freddi Fish (it's different every time you play it!...)

You could browse through the database at adventuregamers.com though they stretch the definition of adventure game.

Oh, Lost Eden sucks.

So a list of less knows yet good adventure games? Have you tried hotu or mobygames? (I'm sure you have but just in case someone comes across this topic in the future while searching the site)

Jet's recommendations of adventure games that started with a "huh?" and ended with a "heh":
Blue Force
Innocent Until Caught (sci-fi but maybe you can forgive that)
Woodruff (was that Sierra too?)
Jack Orlando
Hopkins FBI
Normality (first person but I liked it)
Amazon: Guardians of Eden
Countdown
The Riddle of Master Lu
Bud Tucker

edit: Oh wait, you DO like sci-fi.
Orion Conspiracy (the hacked version is missing speech and cut-scenes...)
Tex Murphy
Dark Seed

There is a new rating system for ags games so finding good games shouldn't be a problem (though Pleurghburg should get at least 4 cups!).

Also, try finding adventure games on youtube.

Shit, I really want to go but unless I can find someone with a car that just happens to go to Wales too, it won't happen.
The deadline for me is in 2 weeks, but it looks like I'm out. Weirder stuff has happened though...

I see no reason to assume that would be quite legal. Demoscene music might be a bit of a gray area (I really have no idea), but game music certainly isn't yours to do whatever you want with.
In most countries the station that plays the music has to pay the royalties (or whatever it's called) not the listener.
Jersey (the small tax-free island between England and France) receives free radio and tv from France but has to pay to receive english radio and tv because it's part of the UK. I guess internet radio works the same, since I haven't read anything that contradicts that.

Quote
Besides, I'm not sure internet radio is really different from on-air radio as far as licenses for public playing of it goes. The point of that license money is to pay the copyright holders of the music, not the owners of the radio station, in which case it's doubtful if the exact medium changes anything.
Internet IS different from on-air radio, because it's international. The national royalty agency (or whatever the name is) can only check which songs are played by national on-air radio stations. It's impossible to find out who plays what in which country, so they can't charge you. If they do, it doesn't take a good lawyer to point out to the judge that the agency is flawed.

But, truth be told, I find copyright law hard to grasp sometimes.

Matt, there is this website called Google. I just typed "amiga radio" and guess what I got? http://www.theoldcomputer.com/Retro%20Radio/RetroRadio_Main.htm
I'm sure you can hook up a laptop or pc with an internet connection  to the shop speakers.

Lenny Bruce, George Carlin and Richard Pryor. All changed stand up comedy, all dead.

I'm also seeking a new video editor since the one I use is crap (Camtasia).
Anybody know something about http://jahshaka.org/ ?
The editor looks good but slander like this
Quote"We are pleased to announce that the jahshaka project has been liberated from its evil benefactors and is now free to get back to its roots and start building the high end visual effects tools it set out to deliver!"
makes me not trust the software.
