Seems those game developers get all the ladies. Congrats!

At least it's original.

Can I search games by date?

Andail I had days like that so many times before that I learned to quickly forget them.
I can still remember parts of wensday which is an average day in the life of.

Wensday 0:00 a.m. my parents house. I'm still awake working behind the computer trying to find a program I threw away some time ago, and now beating myself  up about doing so. I'm trying to sleep but can't. Partly because it's hot, partly because I had nightshifts last week and haven't slept normal since, partly because I can't let go of that program. I boot up my computer again and check 14 backup cd's though I'm almost sure I never made a backup of it. Still, I could have put it in a zip file so I'm going through all of them. No luck, so I prowl over the internet in search of the program. Though I can find plenty of hacked versions I can't find an original. Emule, yes Emule!1111!! saves the day, though the download speed is sloooow. The birds whissle, it's getting light outside so I'm going back to sleep for a second time. I think I have a weird dream about being late for something and there are people reminding me of this and events that delay me more. It ends with standing in line at the airport where they tell me to stand in another line instead of letting me go through the gate and then the like turns into a foodcourt where they don't sell the food on display because it's not ready. And then it turns out to become a market place.
I wake up too tired so I roll over and sleep again. I wanted to go to the local government office to turn in a form but they are open till 12:30 a.m. and it's now 1:00 p.m. This happened yesterday and the day before as well.
The rest of the day I have this feeling I have to do something that I shouldn't forget. Altough there are plenty of this I have to do, I avoided those things so many times before that there isn't any rush. Still I have the feeling all through the day.
The download is ready, yet it turns out that it wasn't what I was looking for. Sometimes things only look usefull in my mind. Bummer.
11:00 p.m. I'm going home. In the train on my way I call a friend asking if he's going out tonight. I want the conversation to be as short as posible because I hate it when people call in the train, and now feel like a hypocrit. He asks me suprised "why". I awnser him very general "because it's night". I then look at my watch and realize it's wensday, not thursday, the night we usually go out. He gives the phone to his girlfriend who asks me the same question. I awnser the same. She then tells me she still has tons of things to do for school, that her boyfriend has troubles with his asthma and might not be going tomorrow too and that I can eat at their place tomorrow but I decline (I ate healthy at my parents place all week, and I was looking forward to something drenched in grease). Then she asks me the same things we already talked about over msn. Fearing the prepayed amount of money on my phone is almost depleted I make sure my awnser are as short as possible, making me feel like a douchebag. She thinks something weird is going on so she keeps pressing. Meanwhile my male pride doesn't want to admit to them I called them on the wrong day. All and all it was an awkward call.
12:00 p.m. I have to walk home for another hour because the bus drivers are on strike (AGAIN!). I don't mind since the walk is quite serine and smooth.
12:50 I notice the lights are still on at home and when I come closer I notice there was a barbeque and a party is still going on. Shit, I whished now that my friends did want to go out. My housemates are part of a fraternity and there is now a large group of drunken, dancing, shirts-tucked-into-pants-wearing 19+ year olds that judged me the moment I walked in for who I am from now till eternitity by my dreadlocks, scruffy beard and baggy pants. I quickly push them aside, not bothering to look for my housemates, retreating to my room next to the living room. I think my house mates dont like me because I don't bother with them (which might have the same negative effect as playing a gameboy on vacation) and skipped cleaning the kitchen and living room so many times that I'm now off the cleaning roster. In my defence I havent used the kitchen in months appart from making tea and washing my hands, leaving me to clean up the bread crumbs on the floor, the noodles and rotten veggies in the sink and the dirty pots and pans on the stove. So fuck it. I also had a heated discussion with two house mates about something very silly, but they just want to bully me into. Since then one guy doesn't look into my eyes anymore. He's a dominant and subborn ass anyway. He looks cool but isn't that interesting underneath. And he reminds me of the kinda guy who, when grown up, has no problem beating his trophy wife as long as the neighbours won't find out.
Anyway the music they play at the party isn't bad but they can't leave the playlist alone and songs don't last longer that a minute. I counter with a brand new Flogging Molly's vynil record which works out perfectly. Things subdue at 3:30. Again no sleep... Same goes for thursday.

And this is as I remember an ok day. Nothing bad happenen. Nothing bad happened on this friday eighter.

It's saterday 1:09 a.m. and I'm not feeling sleepy.

As a player I'm there for comic releaf. I once had this awesome half giant character in a dark sun campaign that touched eveything with his balls. And this was before tea bagging in halo. The combat in my group isn't that smooth. There isn't much team play and it always feels like everbody just fights for his own survival.

As a DM I'm very lazy. You can do anything as long as I don't have read into the rules. So Evenwolf you can eat as many horse shoes as you like, though you are most likely to encounter another adventuring group that wants your bounty for hurting the horsies. If you can stop them (by paying them off or killing them, whatever) then you're off the hook.

If you're new to the game, I'd suggest a fighter since they are very straight forward. The best fighter in D&D 3 edition is the barbarian class. Since a high strength score is key for fighters you could pick the half orc race, that or just be a human with no bonus and penalty points.

The new 4th edition that's just out dropped both the barbarian class and the half orc race (only to be added later on in additional books, I'm sure). I don't know much about the new new edition since it just came out last week or so, but it looks fun to me. My group will most likely stick to 3.5 for another few years before even looking into 4th edition.

Odd that so many people here frown upon using non-original resources.
Or is it that AND selling the product too.

I do feel a bit bad for those guys. They use an engine which they didn't make for coding (its freeware). And they use other games as a tool for making backgrounds (they don't hack it or pirate it, they just make screenshots).

I don't feel bad that their crappy commercial game is now a total flop. Think twice and then again before going on a commecial venture.

DutchMarco, I don't think you realize how casual and spontanious Mittens is.
I'll predict that you'll visit the local shop almost daily. And for the stuff they don't sell there you'll visit a big supermarket (may I suggest Leclerc, they are hure!).
You'll buy your own food and drinks, though others will treat you on food and snacks as well.
Despite the rumours, Mittens is not a beerfest and I'm sure some mitteneers don't even drink.

But what do I know, I'm not even going.

I still say that you have to be a bit of a masochist to enjoy a Sierra game. Watch.

I abandoned playing "The Dig". I mean, I was stuck, and then I browsed for a walktrhough... and what I needed to do to go on was to push a code of 5 or 6 buttons in order in a keyboard that had like 80 buttons.

Castle of dr. Brain had a simular puzzle but here the puzzle was explained. I think giving good hints within an adventure game will make players enjoy themself more. That and common logic.

My rule of thumb is a game with a total amount of rooms less than 10 is a small length game.
The difference between medium and full is a bit vague, though I'd say that a game with 30 rooms or more is big for an ags game.

Congrats! You are now a real captain.

Offer him the money you owe. Don't try to reason with him or listen to him. Just repeat over and over that you'll give him the correct amount of money and that he's not going to beat you up. If he punch or kicks you, you can report it to the police.

Yesterday I paged through all 900+ entries. Suprising how much still works (maybe 5% is down). I found the ones that didn't work in bicicle-for-slugs, which can be a hassle.

You have to realize that the dude that handles your e-mail is just another dude.
I did email front office for a while and this is what i learned:

1 Templates are your only friends at work.
2 I could observe almost everthing but can't interact with anything. The only action I could do is make a note in a log so some xenophobe in the back office might pick it up and look into it themself (never contacting the customer of course). The only problem a helpdesk employee can solve himself is tell a customer no.
3 The only reason to have a helpdesk is not to help cusomers but to make sure managment and finance never have to deal with customers.
4 There are a few good helpdesk employees, loads of bad ones that don't give a fart about your situation. The company on its turn doesn't give a fart about their helpdesk (unless, god forbid, they loose money).

Most phones made in the last 5 or more years are tri-band though. I've been able to make calls in the US and Canada since forever.
My phone didn't work in Canada. Though truth be told, I own games more expencive than that phone.

Nah. Those infomercails always work with the Problem-Product-Solution formula.

According to Helm's age difference rule of thumb you can date her.
Don't!
You'll only fuck everthing up.

Now where are those pics.

You could play games!
Like Half Life 2, Unreal 3, Crysis, Oblivion and all those other firework show cases. I'm not really into those games, but maybe that's because I lack that monster pc.

You could edit your own movies, too.

Not really anything to do with left handed mice, but...

All the mice I have are symmetrical.
Here's a little test. I'm right handed though and I think this test tells more about my lack of cirlce drawing skills.

I prefer working with the optical mouse because it feels most responsive. The cursor stays on the same spot when you touch of let go of the mouse too.

The pen is too sensitive for normal computer work, and works best on high res drawings only (which i never do). For this test I prefer the pen, though I would normally use the circle drawing tool that comes with every drawng program.

The ball mouse feels very unresponsive and non-coorperating. I had and older ball mouse that felt as if it had dead angles when moving in straight lines. The one I have now is better, but I only use it if the batteries of my optical mouse die in a critical moment.

The tablet mouse feels weird because the posision is calculated by the tablet, not the mouse itself. Therefor turning the mouse and then moving sideways doesn't make the cursor draw diagonal.

The + is the center of the canvas which I drew with the line tool. Notice that it's very hard for me to draw a straight horizontal and vertical line with the tablet pen. When I have the cursor on a coordinate and then put down or release the pen I miss the original coordinate.
