General Discussion / Re: Free Will
Fri 28/07/2006 15:55:39
Gods are the creation of people's imagination. Some dutch docter said it, and it makes sense to me. No other animal that I know of worships gods, and create connections between imagination and reality (mitteneers will know he peels wrong side).

So whats so different about humans and animals. Human can imagine a problem and think up several solutions in their head without trying it out first, or even before that problem occurs. For me this proves that there is free will since we choose a solution that we like most, and not choose the first one that pops up.
I guess Helm would say that this means that there is NO free will since "like" is an subconscious emotion created by the cogs in the brain.

Good Omens was meh. It fell back on clechés over and over.

You're welcome to consult my Mittens Attendees Spreadsheet, which should list who came to each meet up, and comes with a 100% money back guarantee.
You owe Lapaset money.

Dave, you look like a Colombian lord of drugs.

And the hat is AWESOMENESS!!11!1

John is used so much. Try Eddy.
Oh, and the should be a comma between "the same" and "mr. Harding."

You know what I miss to make this Lovecrafian? The subtlety of Lovecraft pulp. The theme and mood looks more influenced by Doc. Savage and The Shadow pulp stories.
Why call it a green lemon when you can call it a lime.
#507
Maybe you could add more frensh crew members, so there is a conflict and distrust between nationalities.
And instead of a policeman you could turn it into a soldier who uses a tool to remove an organ out of the victims, which is part of his death ritual back home.
#508
Use it on the "boards" infront of the door, not the door itself.

Code: ags

You can click on "How do I post images, smileys and formatting?" when you compose a message for more bbs code.

If those episodes contain explosions, super heros and happy endings (i.e. the main character does not go insane or dies) it's not "Lovecraftian" as the website claims but just a marketing trick. It's as meaningfull as 33% less fat.
#511
So how is this lovecraftian?

I talked to girl in bar and she told me to come to her room 2A but when I go there it won't open... the dude from next room said she went for a walk but I cant find her + cant open 2A door
She should be in her room. Maybe it's a bug?

get the pliers from the bar, and use them on the nails that are hammered in the skeleton hands. Then pick up the brown envelope that have pills inside.
There is a complete walkthrough here http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=27118.msg344927#msg344927.

There is so much going on in the music but the instruments all sound the same. Try changing instruments to set the tones apart. Also, the drum is weak.

Europe isn't cheap if you have to fly there from north america.Ã,
2 Canadians to Europe in less expensive than 10 Europeans to Canada. (true, I see your point that everybody pays their own flight)

The next Mittens discusion is usually one member who yells a country that sounds reasoneble and the rest yells yay. I can conclude from this topic that Canada is the most likely candidate for next mittens.
#515
Europe is cheap, and a lot of members live here.
I like to see an east european mittens, because I've never been there. Canada is ok, they speak english (well, half of the time).
#516
Why post this? The awards are half a year away and the list is incomplete.

It stops after 12 seconds.
#518
Then make one already!
You're an actor, you have the connection. It's a great way to get acting experience.

Enter and exit rooms untill you are in the bloody version (shadow realm) of the hotel.

A lot of fun? Everyone looks bored out of their skulls in that picture!!! :P
The picture is misleading, indeed. But from my experience I must conclude that this was THÉ most chill out meeting evva!11! No plans, no rush, not even fierce game discussions! Everybody agreed with each other. The picture is about a few ags members sitting on a bed and playing every nes/snes/gb/c64/neogeo game made (and some arcade games). And when they got bored of that they watched futurama, HHGttG or Púmaman.
