It's naive to believe that the price for a game is some kind of measurement for if the game is any good. Profesional artists can draw good, and whether they get money for it or not has nothing to do with their skills.

If you're a REAL man(/woman), you make a profesional game for free. I dare you.

An explanation:
This board game came with the Power Unlimited, a dutch computer magazine, and it features the journalists that write the magazine.
I just made a digital version with AGS.

I doubt that you get the insider jokes, so I'll explain some:
   J.J. doesn't like magic in games.
   There are two people called Niels, they call the youngest Mini-Niels.
   Mini-Niels wrote two books.
   A reader didn't agree with one of Jan's reviews and accused him of taking bribes.
   Jurjen is a Nintendo freak.
   B.I.G. stands for Ban Illegal Games & software. They want to stop people copying games by making commercials and advertisements. Big means pig in dutch.

The game comes with an english translation, but the first screen isn't translated, because, well you should read the readme file anyway.


And now I'll crawl back under my rock with no internet connection, again.

I red an article about two dutch game programmers who make games in their bedrooms (like all of us). They produced quite a lot of game  now. None are great hits, you get them when you buy a 25 pack empty cd's, or for 10 euro's in one of those budget bins.

Anyway, they told that they only get 10% or something (just like those girl/boybands that slave for the record company). And they most likely have to give up all the rights as well. They got screwed, but now they're getting more carefull about deals.


What I'm trying to say is that freeware is freedome.

I think the forums are a happy place to hang aroundÃ,  nowadays. Just because there are no intelectual flame wars doesn't mean that the looneys are running the forums.

I dont like DG 's posts. Don't get me wrong, DG, I love you. Lets get married. Have 2 and a half kinds, and a white picket fence. But your posts are usualy just pure hate.

ps. If this is about flukeblake, I must say that his attitude has compleatly changed in a very short time span.

My college will close for vacation next week. I don't have internet at home (the old provider is blocked while the new one claims I still have internet. all because my brother who always payed for the bill has moved out of the house), so I can't read the forums. Still, I think there won't be any big problems involving mittens 2005.
