The word "wintermute" is mentioned in 15 posts on the ags forums, while "ags" is mentioned in 55 posts on the wintermute forums.

It might be locked, but I dont think it was deleted. Only very old posts are deleted.

I have to confess that 8 of the 55 search results for finding the word "ags" in the wintermute forum, came from other words like "flags". So the word "ags" was mentioned 47 times.


AGS has quantity AND quality.
If Clair's debt was quality, then that's just a matter of opinion. I played it, I liked it, I played better free adventure games but I also played worst.
If there are more games released with wintermute, then I like to play them too.

If I will ever want to make a hi-res game that ags can't handle, Wintermute is first in line.

As you can see, AGS is a wooping 14 times more populair.

The word "wintermute" is mentioned in 15 posts on the ags forums, while "ags" is mentioned in 55 posts on the wintermute forums.
Conclusion: Wintermuters are obsessed with ags and agsers don't even know what wintermute is (just like me before I red this topic).

Guybrush's goal in MI1 was to become a real pirate. And that's how MI2 starts. He has a goaty, money and hangs arouns other pirates.
Still, he feels empty.

Elane hates pirates. They're muscled, mutilated and smelly. She's more into the cute, huggable, teddybear guy.

Elane is a bit of a tomboy, and to let her feel more feminem, she wants a sensible guy who holds her hand when  they walk on the beach. Not a rugged pirate that wants to conker every ship.
Sadly Guybrush has turned into a rugged pirate character (or is trying). I think that's why Elane dumped Guybrush.

When MI3 starts, Guybrush knows that he doesn't need to be a hard-core pirate to become happy, and the empty spot that he felt was him missed Elane.
When Elane sees Guybrush is the same guy again that she fell in luv with, then of course she is swept of her feet.

I think they want to play it safe.
Why risk making a original big-bidget game when you can hire a studio to make a starwars themed "-insert game gerne here-". Low on costs*, you don't have to do anything yourself** and a big profit***.

Lucas Arts no longer has any tallented game designers or programmers because they let other studio's do all the work. Why keep your expencive game designers if they have nothing to do? So they got fired.


*: You don't have to buy and maintain a computer network or buy software licences like 3D software.
**: Solving problems is what programmers do most of their time. Instead of finding a solution yourself, you let somebody solve it that might have solved the problem when he was working on another shooter for another company.
***: There are always 10.000 people buying it, because they connect the cult film with the game.

I always imagined that Stan talked and looked like Gilbert Gottfried.
In MI3, his voice wasn't what I expected and he became more buffed too. I was a bit disapointed, but not as much as with MI4.

That is becuase we know how things work in our society. We know that not all christians can be blamed for what one disturbed individual does.

Yet each time a muslim kills a non-muslim (we don't give a damn when they kill eachother) we attack the muslim community. And each time we blame a group for the actions of a single individual we push that group further away, increasing the risk of it happening again. On top of that we spread unresonable fear among our own, decreasing their quality of life. This is a downward spiral.

Holland has no extream right wing. The problem is that we've been too tolerant to imigrants. Double passports, bring over your pre-arranged wife over to Holland and allow illegal imigrants in the country if they lived here more that 5 or so years. -edit: Letting illegal imigrants stay even if the justice system has proven that they should leave the country.

Theo van Gogh was stabbed and shot dead at daylight by a muslim fundamentallist.

Why?
Because he made a short film about a veiled, but naked, muslim woman that had, among bruises, female unfriendly texts from the koran written on her body.
Van Gogh said a lot of bad things about the islam, he said a lot of bad thing about jews, christains and pritty much everbody, as well. But it was a muslim who thought that he should die.

When they asked the muslim community for a reaction, one said "Theo van Gogh played with fire. He got burned". A muslin religious leader said "A real muslim wouldn't kill someone, therefore this has nothing to do with muslims". In other words how Shaggy would say -It wasn't me-. Nice way to evade the question.

I don't give a fuck about their religion or culture, but I tollerate it. The least they could do is tollerate my country too.

I might be your style, but the characters all have this suprised look on their faces. You could give them different facial expressions that fit with the character.
