And PLEASE, more people play Good Morning Mr. Gingerbread. I play adventures with my girlfriend and we read the dialogue aloud, doing voices for the characters (we're that cool). With this game it was hard to read the lines because they kept making me laugh. If you get the humour of D.Duck, then definitely give this one a go.

Oh yes, how the heck did I miss this!? Absolutely stupidly hilarious :D! (in fact I'm gonna go and play it again now that you reminded me)

And even though Ben has condemned Nelly Cootalot as just "pretty darn funny", I'll mention that his latest game !, in addition to being unpronounceable is his funniest yet.

Aww dang, I didn't mean it like that! It really is very funny (Jolly Roger is fantastic). And hooray, somebody actually found ! funny :D

Herewith I quote the above to express my earnest belief that all of the games mentioned within said paragraph are the stuff LMAO is made of.

Well, it just looks like a meaningful agreement for a historical future has been reached. Everybody agrees that even though China can not be bullied into agreeing to anything, they did the best they could.

The whole thing has been blown up into a new clash of super powers, USA on the one end, China on the other one, blaming each other to be the climate killers and nature haters.

Gordon Brown: "If we cannot reach an agreement, it would be right for me and others to put forward proposals about how we move forward. If we do not succeed in getting agreement, I will have other proposals about how to proceed.”

PS: Maybe an option to sort games by user ratings would be helpful to bring out some of the "unpanelly gems".

Seconded.

That's the spirit! Thirded! 100% = 100%!

Useful intervention!

Hasn't anybody ever considered that the fine line between crap and genius can't be expressed within a system of five (5) different grades? It just can't!

You read a review in some games magazine that says:

"72%. Great motocycle physics, but holes in the track and lacking spraypaint mode subtract somewhat from the overall enjoyment."

Then you read the next one.

"81%. Motocycle tuning mode works really well, racing is lots of fun for some hours. Only the sometimes uninspired career mode dialogs prevent a higher rating."

Which one would you choose? Do 9 points on a 100 point scale make a difference? I do not have any suggestion to solve this problem, of course, but I think any rating system with less than ten different grades is necessarily inaccurate. While 2 cups are certainly intended to express encouragement, they do put most players off.

I voted for Dr. White! Just so you know, it's not my fault if abstauber comes up with a freaky seasonal MAGS topic like "A New Year's Eve 2000 B.C." or "Spinoffs to Star Wars Holiday Special"!

Congratulations on that! I have yet to play it, though (I have only just flattered Stanley...), and I am trapped in a time vortex of considerable proportions right now...But you might have noticed already.

Lovely! Graphics style and colour choice are great (if minimalistic), music is hip and the three friends are friendly!

Fantastic entries! Also shows the potential of the community, I love how Babar's "team effort" challenge has really inspired some new people to team up.

Thank you for insisting, I would have been much too lazy to upload the soundtrack...Now dance! Or something...

The escape/peril music is pretty catchy, too.

You just proved my point that 80s trash movie soundtracks will never fail! Alright!

You missed the greatest opportunity of your life, boy. You could have been the ruler of GMT+1, blinding all of us old Europeans with your irresistible 1337ness, but no. You messed it up.

Other than that HOORAY HOORAY! IT IS A GOOD GAME AGAIN AND IT IS TOO SHORT!

That game crashing bug is simply incredible; I hadn't crashed the game in any of the last betas, no matter what I did. Glad you had time to fix it, auriond, and great that it has finally been released!

Hey, uhm...Thanks for the credit! I did test one full day and then kind of forgot about it while you were visiting the spring of rejuvenation, or what was it? Great to see this is finished, though!

You may want to check out these videos, In which Dr. Ashens attempts to discover the quickest game overs ever. They should be pretty helpful for your article!

Incredible, that guy has really laid the groundwork for speedfails! I think I shall include his videos as inspiration for potential speedfailers.

Hey, but it is modern! Oh, and I was talking about his concept to end Half Life prematurely, not about him not being able to upload! Now I realize how mean that comment sounds...  8) :o :'(

edit: Yes, and I have edited it now. Thanks for pointing that out, it was really not meant that way. I would never ever make fun of a dial-up user, I've been one of them for long enough.

Too bad you're on dial-up - ending Half Life before it even began would be what I consider a pretty spectacular fail!

Yes, that's right. Hello.

I have started my own website, I call it 56modern.com. I want to talk about computer games as an art form, not in a very academic manner, but rather in a fun way to show that "computer game" does not equal "click, turn, shoot, level up".

To give my page a kind of a starting point and hopefully wash a wave of people in, I decided to set up a little competition. I had this idea some days ago, and I love it, I must admit. I want you to fail.

Everybody knows about Speedruns, how they are performed, who performs them and who likes to watch them. But nobody knows about Speedfails, because I invented them today! A simple task: Take your favourite computer game, fail as hard and as quickly as you can, and then post it on youtube as a video response to my own fail.

If you like the idea, read more about it on my site, exactly here: http://www.56kmodern.com/timeray/37/56kompo1-speedfails/

And participate!
