I just tried that again, and when I try to "use" hammock with demonic bird, the command automatically switches to "walk to".  I even started a new game, and the same thing happens.
Any ideas?

I have been clicking all over the place, and don't know where to go.  The posts I've been reading don't seem to help with where I'm stuck so far...

I have the hammock, the useless stick, the small rock (which I can't use with the snake den yet), the fruit, the warning, the mint leaves, and have used the bone on the dog.  I still can't get rid of the bird.  I have read about the turtle, but don't see him anywhere.  I can't get anywhere with the man on the ladder.  I have seen the headless guards, and can't open the useless lock.  Am I missing an area in the game?

Hey!
I have the note from the mayor, the rose, the chest, the lock pick, garbage picker, and chalk.
I know I have to find the king, and I know where the wine is to give to the guard.
I'm stuck at this point.  

 Nevermind!!!!

I am inside the castle to speak to the Baron, but I can't get into any of the doors from the courtyard?  Any ideas?

Just started this game today, and yes, I'm stuck...
I have the sandwich book, blanket, cheese recipe, coffee grinder, milk pail, plant book, and have set up the stool.
I've talked to everyone about everything.
Been to the barn, house, cliff.
I know where the oregano is.  I think I know where the cucumbers are.
I can't seem to do anything else?
