I thought you might like to know that on this show I sometimes watch called the electric playground (on Space), they had a little thing about Kings Quest. As well, they showd videos captured from  the fan made remakes(Kings quest  I VGA, Kings quest II+ VGA, and Kings quest III VGA) as well as as Silver lining. Now they didn't talk about AGS, but, its still pretty great, huh?

This is a pixal sketch I did of a alien world war two level fighter. What do you people think? Does it look like it came from around WW2? As well, any colouring ideas? Paint overs are of course welcome.

This is for any members on this beloved forum who have an interest in the upcoming game. Who do you think will win, why and what will you be doing during game time? Will the Oilers keep up the 2 game winning streak? or will the Hurricanes rip through the opposition?  Only time will tell. For those who don't watch hockey, ( such as practically everyone watching the World Cup,) I am sorry if this takes any attention from football, just thought that if we can talk about soccer, we can talk about ice hockey.

I was just wondering if anyone has used the parser tool (on AGS) to good effect. As well, does anyone have any hints and tips on programming this rarely used function?
Just a thought.

Hllo ther its me, asking a totle NEWB of a question.
Can you use more then one transition type in a game?

I know this sounds silly, but can anyone tell me the name of the piece of music played in the introduction of Starcraft: Brood War?, it was also played, louder, in the trailer. I am a fan of classical music, and I was wondering if anyone knew what that piece was.  Painfully beautiful singing, mixed with death and dirt, blood and bones, last ditch battle scenes just get to me, can anyone help me? As well, does anyone know what the singer is saying? That song is just so haunting.

To answer your first question, NO, this is not a thread to start a flame war between the Trekkies and the erm...Warries? its a question to all the fans out there,( yes, we know who you are)as well as none fans, as to whether the star wars or star trek fans, have less  of a sense of humour, to put it bluntly, who would be more likely(or the first) to burn my house down if I made a game unofficially in these universes, but made fun of the universes conventions while at it. give you your reasons, and which you would prefer. oh, and hate me, hate me now.

Thank you. well I have an idea, why dispose of them when you can use them to generate power? They still produce heat, right? And while we might not have a self sustaining nuclear reaction, we still got a lot of heat being produced, and that is all a steam turbine needs, heat. here is my idea to help the world. I was wondering if you can help me, I used to watch this Australian sci-fi show. I can't remember what it was called (duh :) but I remember the people had Australian accents, it was a lost in space kind of story, oh and one more thing the video screens on the ship ( or ships) were  all monochromatic red.
Anyone remember it? I used to watch it on the knowledge network, but that’s probably not were it started

Hello, and yes your right, that IS way over the top. But it is true, if I HAD a kingdom, I would trade it for a walkcycle.
But not just any walkcycle, no I am talking about a
Satyr walkcycle. some goat-legged biped walk. with hooves. I won't STEAL it, I just want to see how such a walk would work. anyone willing to help?

Ah, a suggestion. ( it might be already done )
in the sprite folder, the ability to zoom in on sprites. would make it easier to tell the difference between different sprites in a walk cycle and other animations
does anyone else think this is a good idea?

Hello people, I have a question about my computer, computers in general, really.
I was looking around the windows folder on my computer, when I found something weird. I found the program called Sulfnbk.exe It was in the command folder so I thought it was a Dos utility, but it wasn't it had this crap icon that was basicly the name of the program DRAWN in paint. what is it, what does it do, if anything? is it dangerous?

I am writing a report describing just what exactly and adventure game IS and anything else on that topic, such as history and notible games.
what I was wondering is if any of you mind me using your games as examples, just a thought.

Does any one mind if I gloat? all ok? well I'm gloating any way. why you might ask, well I was looking around one of my neighbourhoodÃ,  thrift stores. ( got a lot of those were I live) and was supposed to be looking for shoes and a tie for my moms wedding ( for me) when I decided to look at the second hand software and what did I find?Ã,  a copy of kings quest 6 AND 7. good haul, good haul I thought THEN I found space quest 4! So I would just like to say it has made for a VERY successful weeks pillage! and it cost me a grand total of 6 Dollars, and thats canadian! so, sitting back, I gloat!

Hey trust-funders! 8)
I am making a game with basically two colours in the background, black and white in fact.(who knew? )
so to do that I must make sure my shadows are uber accurate.
so does any one know any one know any hints and tips on shadows. I want it to look all German expressionism and film noir. with skwewy angles and such. any tips or tutorials, would be welcome.
(PS This, this format is very important for the game, so don't try to convince me other wise )

this is a pixal version of the famed EMH from Voyeger. what I want to know is how good a copy it is. paintovers and such are welcome, plus any crits you care to give. thanx in advance.
