I agree it is an "aging way of controlling people" but I think that religion, when separate but with powers of its own, provides a good balance to government power. It should control its areas but be powerless in others and visa-versa. I good example of this is the Roman Catholic Church during the Middle Ages. Now when we think of Catholicism during the middle ages we think, witch hunts inquisition, crusades, And yes these were not good things, but I think that the church provided an important power balance. That's my opinion anyway.

Can I critic this? 'Cuz if I can, it may be seen as nit picking, but were is the waterfall going? The grass seems to grow right up to it, but that can't happen. As well were is the mist? just a thought. BUT it is still jaw dropping wonderful.

I would try the Adventure-related forum. As well, when you post your first post in a topic,  try to give more information.A post that says nowt but "I wanna make a game." is kind of annoying. This is to help, not to make you look bad.

And here it is!
I am attempting, in this picture, to create an imposing building like a ziggurat or a cathedral. took me a few hours total.

It is also very empty, I wouldn't  want to walk around in this backround, too empty. As well, in the latest edit, the stars cut off rather suddenly. just a thought.

thanx Creed Malay, thanx Afflict, and thanx Trumgottist. I'll be posting a higher res (640/480) pic, for you people who want that.

evil, ok ok, thanx a lot, but I don't want to dither. you see in this game, light and dark have evolved and become alive ,like matter, and light and dark destroy each other on contact, as well there was a big war between light and dark and to destroy dark, the light destroys almost all the matter in the universe, including man, so dark has nothing to cast its shadow, but dark evolved a way to survive this, so now there is an uneasy truce. so having black and white is kind of symbolic.

SpacePirateCaine: I was thinking of post, pre was another idea I had but it was going to be a differant game. The idea was that bob was grooving to the tunes, when his head slips out of his hands, bounces off the deck and drifts away in the lava. now he has to go find the thing. It was kind of a pre-quel, because its in between when lechuck knabs elaine and guybrush attempts to rescue her.

Heh, heh..the reason I download AGS was to make a game based on Bob, you know the head tossing ghost from MI1? I still think its a good idea, what do you guys think?

Here is two of my first tries in this style, I like the first one kind of, but I want to make it more imposing. something that creates a kind of awe and fear.

suprise huh, thought it was going to be a private eye game huh? well its not. its a game set in 12,000,000,000 AD (or CE) and Man is dead but remembered.

Though I am Ã, greatly grieved by the Armenian genocide (to me, genocide is the worlds uber WORST crime) I believe Ã, that we shouldn't, at this time, press this issue.Diplomacy Ã, is about getting done what needs done, and focusing on the issue at hand.Right now what the west (not christian, church and state are separate) and the muslim governments need to do is smooth some feathers and create a peaceful resolution to this crisis. Then, and only then, can the west press on any other issues it might have. Pressing a sovereign nation when they think the other side is in the the wrong, will just make things worse.

Sure a bit of HAZEING is ok, make the dude feel part of the team, but that bicycle bit was just a tad to much.

By the way, I don't recall that you could die in Grim Fandango. Sure there were some situations were you think you could die any second but after awhile you get out of the trouble and gets in saftey.
I didn't say you could die, (did I imply that? lousey boney fingers!)
I meant that there is a few places were I wish you could die. Now the custom officers part is a GREAT example of pressure with out dying, it feels like you JUST made it. but when you battle dom' it ( I think) would make that part more exciting, if you could die  somehow. thats just my opinion.
