I agree, and that, and my deep ponderings, convinced me of christs rightitude. Jesus, said to turn the other cheek, and these muslims (not ALL or even MOST) arn't doing that. Well its not meant to be to detaled, its in 320/240 res.
and its not going to be line art, per say. it is going to be blocks of light and, dark. if there's no tutorials on this, can someone help me with realistic shadows. how they fall and such. how light works. I think I can take it from there.

Well if thats the case they are even more nasty. would you like your religious (if any) founder derided by some cartoonest. I am not saying the reaction was appropriate, but I can see why it sparked such a horrible reaction. but to understand is not to forgive, this reaction was a quite uncalled for.

though I hate all the deaths in some sierra games, I can think of one game that maybe should have had a death or two. I m talking about grim fendango. There were a few "life threatning" situations, that wern't. If you ask this monkey, it took away from the suspence some what. btw how do you post spoilers?

Ok, I agree they are not as inflammitory as the have been taken to be, and it is sad. I don't say they are badly drawn, (well one is, but I agree somewhat whith that ones point) the bomb one, very well drawn, but it is a bit to hard to define. and that is part of the problem. One can take it almost anyway one chooses, and theres the rub. political cartoons should be NOT hard to define, they don't have to make there point with a sledge hammer, but they should be clear.Some muslims took it in a bad way.

I am making a game with basically two colours in the background, black and white in fact.(who knew? )
so to do that I must make sure my shadows are uber accurate.
so does any one know any one know any hints and tips on shadows. I want it to look all German expressionism and film noir. with skwewy angles and such. any tips or tutorials, would be welcome.
(PS This, this format is very important for the game, so don't try to convince me other wise )

*sighs* I just saw the strips, and lets just say they arn't funny, I am sorry to admit I did kind of like the one about how they are out of virgins, but I can see how they would get someones goat, Ã, that and the one with the prophet with horns, the one with the bomb on his head, the lineup, and ESPECIALLY the ones with the kid and the chalkboard. THAT one is uber stupid and the most offensive, even to me.

the head doesn't look feminine, it is not just the angle, it is the shape as well. and the shape of the way she is falling feels to me like she's tangled up in her legs and the landing would be very painfull. just my thoughts. cheers.

Oh man, were is this community going, it seems every thread is an exuse to get uber gross. some kid asks for help. and we all talk sh*t. how the h*ll is this supposed to help a poor newb figure out how to use ags? if it is a kid, which it most likely is, we are giving him ONE HELL of an education. I am 19 and I STILL would be emmberessed if anyone saw me read this stuff.
lets all go and wash our mouths out at least when we know a kid will be reading.

That's a great farewell blessing for somebody whose train is leaving in five minutes.

Well, in a way, he is. he is leaving a community.(any gathering of people with some common purpose.) he will be missed, and plus, I like that blessing. Its thoughtfull and nice.  and it is the way I chose to say goodbye.

Words DO hurt though.They are the way we communicate from one mind to another mind. They are a most precious gift, and when someone verbally attacks you. it is painfull. I  do agree that some members of the muslim community are overreacting. One my of firm beliefs is that "People have the right to be wrong" that is, the right to hold a belief that the majority consider erroneous. The cartoonist has the right to draw tasteless cartoons. The muslim community has the right to protest PEACEFULLY.We may not all agree, but as they say, we should agree to disagree.If you find something you don't like, protest it in a law-abiding manner.

Ah, that duck is CUTE! the rest are great with a wonderful grace and fluidity. It has that manga delicacy of line, with out being TOO cutesy in the eyes. Great work!
