Can't we just move on?!?! I'm despertly sad at the cancilation as well but this moping is getting to us nowhere. We ARE the adventure game develipor community... we uphold a stong tradition of great games, and we look to the futre for more... are we going to sit on our butts and pity ourselves?!?! OR OUR WE GOING TO MAKE SOME GREAT GAMES?!?!!?
LETS GET OUT THERE AND MAKE SOMETHING!!!

I would have to say any and all Monkey Island games, as well as The Dig. Michial land was GREAT. Ã, Robyn Ã, Miller of Myst and Riven fame was wonderful as well. hope this helps. Quake had some Creep-tonite stuff as well.

P.S (modify) I forgot Grim Fendango,( smacks head, the goes of to play the end of the game ...for the MUSIC) jazz and peru panpipes and mexico stuff, whats not to love?!

As well, you can do what I do and screenshot it into paint, for quick and easy saving. ;D, well not quick and not too easy either, but it works.

Xarkh, I think the lips are either to small on the front or (more likely) too big on the side view. Prog Z seems to see the same thing, but his wonderful sprites would be hell for anybody but him to animate. reduse the lip lip on the side ONE pixal, and it would look better.

Ummm... quick question from the walnut gallery...how big is your charactors going to because that door looks HUGE! When I do sprites I try to keep them below a maximum of half the height of the screen. thats on MY style, but thats MY opinion.

I shall enter with a  spooky game were you solve puzzles by adding (and maybe taking away) differant forms of energy to objects. since this is my first time editing a gui that gonna be my toughest job. every thing else should be reletivly simple. got my story 50% together hope to show screenshot soon.

dont I know it! I've got this female lead who is an elf-orc and my side view looks fem and in character and like the how i pictured it, but I cant get the FRONT view right. ERR!

speaking of black out lines "why are they there in  the first place?!" as far as I know (which isn't  much, I grant you) FoA NEVER had black outlines. if your going to imitate the lucasarts style, at least have no black outlines.
I would have that would have been the first thing people mentioned
as well the road and many other tectures just look placed there, no bluring as the road goes into the distance

umm..  call me french mime with wipped cream on top, but krismac, could you tell us something of the, well, character of the character. Some guys people have been editing the face, and I cant tell what pfc williams personality is. is it kinda sad and anime like your first post?(cept for the side view, were the face didn't match the front) to a rough n' tumble almost vietnam man like prog_z's first edit or a pro soldier like in the recruting posters, like progs second edit. giving some personalty backroubnd would be helpful.

Call me a squashed burrito, but that sprite looks very zak macracken-y to me... ??? coincidence.. OR FATE?! or maybe just some spriter copying that good ol early lucas art style, right down to the red skin...  ;D

big brother, great work, you totely lowered the colour count while at the same time improving the work all around. if i mayÃ,  make a sugestion...

a single pixal i know but it makes a differance.
btw GREAT work on the jacket. it REALLY looks like a leather jacket now. :o

least fave puzzle...lets see... Oh I know!
Going to the Selenic Age in Myst, were you have to get the sequence of  organ sounds to match EXACTLY!! I love myst, but that puzzle had me stumped for a year, finelly buckled down and got a solution off internet.
fave? Solving Grim fendango, now that was a satisfying game. wish it went longer but it couldn't, so it don't, so its not. too bad. glad it ended though when compared to the heiniesly open ended mi cycle
