How did I! get philosiphical? I am sorry I don't understand
#262
Lets get out of the philosiphy as enjoyable as it is. This topic isn't about that if anyone wants to start a topic n the nature of reality go ahead, we have had weirder topics.I am not saying they can't maybe imagine colours, I have heard of blind from birth people doing drawings. But they where rather on the crude side. Wouldn't it be easier for a blind from birth person to have descriptions he can more fully enjoy. That are more immersive for his world view. Put it in terms he or she can understand for intutivly.

Being blind doesn't make you stupid. If you tell a blind person there's a house in the middle of a field they know what you mean.
Quote from: Rui "Trovatore" Pires on Tue 25/09/2007 11:56:49Bottom line remains the same - we're not blind

I am bureaucrately 88% blind, mind you.
I didn't say they were stupid. what I meant was someone who has been blind from birth would have trouble with a description from an old infocom IF. The example I used was close to (probably not exact) the opening description in Zork. probably should have looked up an exact quote. On the other hand a IF written by a blind person or with some serious research would be fascinating. and technically an IF would be the easiest adventure genre to adapt.

Also the descriptions would have to be keyed to blind people because, "Yous see a small white house in the middle of a field" ain't gonna help you if your blind. If the game was 3-d you could program in some system where you tap the ground and the computer figures out the reflections.

In all seriousness most school shootings appear to be done by young narcissistic who do it for just such reasons as our friend Herostratus.

A man who acted noobish for all his life, torturing other users, not listening to advice, and doomed to wonder the universe, seeking but never finding the answers he so desperately craves in.... THE AGS ZONE!
( I mean what is up with "Tribes 2 mod" that is the worst single post I've ever seen in my life. My English teacher would beat you over the head with a frozen ham.I mean it doesn't even have a verb!)

I have never CRIED during a book ( though I did once during an anime FMA if you must know) but Terry Pratchett has given me plenty full body "Woah" moments, I think the closest was with Lord of the Rings, plenty of almosts there. But enough about me, lets get back to your loss Darth Mandarb...

Tears upon the page
We close with a final sigh
A world has ended

Hello, I have yet another sprite for you to rip to shreds, I am SUCH a masochist.lol Anyway here it is her legs are kind of like a satyr but with toes rather then hooves. Its meant to be in a animeish kind of style. well here ya all go, tells me whats you think, please?!

PS the whiteish marks on her body are scars and I am seriosly not pleased how they turned out, HELP!

To quote Terry Pratchett..."What sort of person," said Salzella patiently, "sits down and writes a maniacal laugh? And all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five? A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head. Opera can do that to a man."
Only in  Rubacant case I would say "LOL"'s instead of exclamation marks

Well it sort of works, the last 5 keys are a bit funny and the last key won't play at all, but for two bucks what do you expect? not sure what to do with it but is sure a funny little/big thing

Ever heard of superconducting? One trouble though could be freezing condensation, if it freezes then melts it could short something out. (Like near the end of Apollo 13)
#273
Or make a sprite comic like 97  12/13 of all webcomics ;D

now I know it is slow, but world poverty is actully down significantly. But I don't quite agree with the 'Millions of tons of stuff, lets give it to africa" approach. I think it is better to teach a man to fish rather then simply give a man one and leave it at that. Yes These places need help and they could definatly use more, but I think it is also important to not create a culture of dependancy, help the people build up there industies and make them thiers, not just give hand outs.

HAs anyone besides me seen Avatar? it rather reminds me of the Aang, that kind of cheery go-lucky-ness, maybe his pose could use some workmore of a solid fighting stance, right now he does look a little twinkle-toes, rather light in his shorts.

There is something so sad when an artist passes, you know that the final page has turned the last stroke painted, the last note composed. It is right to morn such passings, you know that part of what added to the sum total of beauty to this world, has passed. And that is a sad thing...

The moment passes
Life turns to Death forever
We Must Remember

There, I am not sure if it makes you feel any better, but that Haiku is for you Darth Mandarb
