It doesn't have the original King's Quest? What do you mean? Is it a remake version?
It is the SCI version, the one the Tierra based there games off of. Iddeed, most of THIER backrounds are major retouched versions of the SCI versions
I was in luck recently, I found a copy of both Day of the Tenticle, and Sam and Max for 11 buck (can.) each with taxes. unfortunatly they were the mac versions. bummer, then I found out I can play mac version on scummvm, IF i use a mac drive emulater. But the zip vesion of the file was corrupted ( like the scummvm wiki says) so bummer. then I repared it using the tools in Win RAR, and hip hip horray, I know own Day of the Tenticule AND Sam and Max, YIPEE!

First and foremost this will be a review of the Windows XP compatible, “Kings Quest Collection” not the games themselves, which have already been reviewed enough for any soul to find at his or her own leisure.
Recently released by Sierra, the “Kings Quest Collection” comprises practically all of the “Kings Quest” adventure games. Most fans won’t miss the only exception, “Kings Quest IIIV”.  The installation was painless, in my view too painless. I would have preferred more options in the installation. As it was, all I got to choose, was were I would put the file dump and then it was time to install. I would have much preferred been able to choose which games I wanted installed at that time. Installation took quite a while on my computer, and though I have worked with slower, I am sure most adventure fans don’t exactly go for speed demons. Then the system itself, barebones, but very user friendly just a list of the games and button under each to play and another to bring up the manual. Unfortunately, the game only has one manual, with all necessary information included. But even with editing to make each games segment as short as possible (though it does include the back story for each game) it still feels long and ill put together. It would have been nice to have scanned-in copies of each games original manual, but at least those are easy to find on the Internet. But I just paid 25 bucks (Canadian) for some old software I could download for free, at least give me some goodies for my respect for copyright laws.
In conformation of rumours, yes the illustrious DOSbox is used to allow Windows XP compatibility. And luckily the programmers have made it so it starts automatically when you start a game. The only typing you will have to do is in the actual game itself, like I said, user friendly. Uninstalling is again breeze, but again too much of one. Say I want to uninstall some of the games? Is it possible I don’t want all of them on my hard drive at once? Of course you can delete any of the dos games in their folders without fear of screwing up your computer, but I am not so sure about the seventh. 1.4 gigabytes isn’t much on a modern computer, but we adventurers like our games old, so upgrading can often be a downgrade in compatibility with our old favourites.
In conclusion, though it is nice to get these hoary old classics all at once, somehow it feels kind of sad. No more shall I search thrift stores and flea markets for these jewels of a bygone age. Nor more shall I bid on ebay franticly for a cd the probably has more scratches then drapes after a  millions cats have been at them.
On the other hand… this collection doesn’t have the ORIGINAL “Kings Quest,” or “Space Quest” or “Police Quest”, or anything Lucas…so come ye old adventure freaks, The Games Afoot!

Its a bit of a joke, you see the zombies are so lazy, that when the signs got painted, the sign was in that position, and it still is,
also, the doc in your edit though is a bit TOO creepy. he is the main character, his is cantankerus, and really wants to be evil, and though he works with zombies , is supposed to be somewhat likeable
as well, the princess is sticking out her lower lips in a major pout, any ideas on that, and well thats all, and thanks for the workovers, progzmax but I don't like shadows.
as well that line on the "guard" is the mouth, the grey line underneath is the chin. maybe if I did a talking animation it would be more clear.

If people actually knew more, they wouldn't be doing lots of things.
Bull cwap, I could read every book in the world, I could read all magazines, and all the internet, talk to psycoligists and scientests, and the only way it would stop me from doing something stupid, is if I wasted my whole life doing that. which could be considered stupid. Knowledge may be power, but only to a certen degree.

I always felt that besides making a ripping good yarn, alice in wonderland is about logic and the nature of reality. For example, in the walris and the carpenter, a very funny, if rather disterbing song , also asks a few question about logic. such as can the sunshine at night? that is, is night when the sun goes down or is it a defnite time of day? if its when the sun isn't shining then its never night in the arctic in summer. yet we also say, in the arctic, it is light, at night. when the child turns into a pig she says that it made a very handsome, pig,but a very nasy child, again a question of definitions and when things are in between can the be both, and where does the line cross? As well as a kid, if you get to read it, it makes almost all other children stories seem a bit tame. thats my opinion anyway

Well I like the galaxy song personily, it makes me feel small and big at the same time. I may be a insignificant piece of matter on the edge of a third rate star in a ordanary galaxy. but for all that I am alive which is more then I can say for most of the matter in the universe. I am me, and I can know myself and I can try to know the universe. I am alive!

I guess one reason the rest  f us think british tv is so good is what is exported is usully the cream of the crop, on the other hand, there may be cult shows that just don't get noticed.

I am sure it scares most guys initially, I personly am a lonley nerd who has only asked out ONE woman in his life, and was rejected. check my profile to see how emberessing that really is. As for my sexuality, I have been turned on by guys, so I guess that makes me Bisexual, as well as been a bit of a tran,a skirt much more comfy then most pants.

I liked it, and I am a christian, a christian who believes nothing should be immune from "imperial wardrobe" moment. Religion, like any field, is full of pretentious blowhards, who can't take a little heat. So it mocks religion, so what, if they can't stand mocking, too freaking bad. I felt it was good absurd zany fun. Frankly I was more shocked by the window opening moment then anything else. Have at thee infidels, for St. Brian, and the gourd! ;D

The entire greek aristocracy was about boy-love, and I refuse to believe they were all disturbed or sick; I think they were taught that loving boys was safe and sound and something all did and enjoyed and nobody was harmed from, and therefore they could allow themselves developing such feelings
So its okey as long as popular culture says its okay? ???

I have three ideal adventure games I want desperately want to make.
First "Deputy E.I. and the spirit of theatro" the comic western tale of a loveable but bumbling deputy after the sheriffs daughter, must rescue the sheriff after he is possessed by the spirit of theatro before he converts the whole town into Shakespearean freaks.
2nd game: "Sleeping Witness"  Security Officer Jim Warden must find the assailant after an attack on the noctine Head Security Officer K'tral, enables her possum reflex, sending her into a deep coma. Abroad the FPS Persiphone, a starship for paroled criminals till to dangerous to be released into society, you must solve the crime, before the assailant strikes again. But who is the real criminal? I was going to make it open sorse so others can add episodes, in a star trek/ RON kind of way. btw its not based in the star trek universe
3rd "Villainy Inc: Zombie Labour Stinks" A hero stalks your castle, attempting to free the princess in your basement. But how are you supposed to deal with that, when your zombie hoard goes on strike?
