I have never played an RTS whose story really grabbed me. It always felt like such a side issue. Sure, it helped give a REASON for my actions, but it never felt like it was all that important. I was a commander, my mission was my mission and that was it. The cut sceins whether Live Action/CGI Red Alert, or full CGI like Warcraft or Starcraft, were fun for setting the mood, but not important for driving me to play.

Dude, hold your hornets,  I have played Xcom and I found confusing, and nearly impossible to figure out what to do. And I have played turn based squad games before, thank you. While I didn't own CyberStorm, I found the demo on an old CD and I really enjoyed it. Idid not enjoy Xcom. So in my mind it isn't that fun of a game, and I really tried. So, yes, I know most of the world disagrees with me, but I never could get into this classic.

Maybe it is my sheer ineptitude, but I find it gives you a few easy missions, then BALM! your into the hot smelly stuff up to your rosy, rosy, cheeks, and its getting hotter. That's just my opinion. And sorry for calling you a fanboy, if you find that term derogatory.

You have enough love for all of us thank you. Your fanboy frothing has made that quite evident. I own Starcraft, and it is a great game, no doubt about that. It is practically the national sport of South Korea. But, I just can't really get into it. It just really isn't all that easy for me to jump into. I played and enjoyed Warcraft fro a while because I liked its learning curve and its not-taking-itself-seriously-nes (is there a word for that?). It was fun. Starcraft, a meticulous and overwhelmingly well crafted artifice, isn't fun for me. Sacrilege I know to the true believer.

I am no good at all at RTS, but my favorites are Red Alert and Warcraft II, the former for the music, specifically 'hell march and Tanya  mistress of C4, the latter for exploding critters and seasick orcs and elves.

Weather is chaotic in the prediction sense. Even in weather there are rules, certain things that happen when other things happen. For example, when it is cloudless, it can not rain.

Thanks Afflict, was able to get it. Being fascinating so far, though CO gets in the way a lot, ie. standing in front of PRECISELY what I am trying to interact with.

Hello, you may or may not know this, but the link doesn't work. Firefox just says it can't find it. I have tried downloading from other sources, they all lead back to the same site. I tried the mirror, it didn't work either. Any help fellows?

Until recently I used IE, because I am lazy and for some reason Firefox wouldn't run on my older Win2k Pro computer. I use Firefox on my new(er) WinXP Pro computer, and I like it, except how it handles downloads. I switched because for some reason Newgrounds was acting wonky on IE, even on my new(er) computer, plus I got spywared to the hilt on IE.

Hello you bunch of agnostics,
Ponch: What with the recent theory that our universe has a skeleton?
Could it be still flat?
If the Big Bang theory is crap it really doesn't matter because I learned it was at school, and now my step-son is learning it (12yrs-old) and my son will probably learn it that way!
That's how it works, it's like the Holy Book, four Gospels were chosen but there were many more writen and they aren't acepted. We believe in what we are told, period.
I believe that the Quantum Leaps theory destroyed everything we believed as human race!
It doesn't matter anymore, we all be dead when the world finds out why we are here, and the answer will be very, very, simple. Just don't know what will be.
Stone me, stone me more... ;D

Actually, you can't, lo-res. At least not in most democratic states. Since certain international laws (e.g. human rights) are considered to be "above" state legislation (just as federal law is "above" the laws of individual sub-states), it doesn't matter what the law says - human rights say murder is a no-no, and if your country's legislation disagrees: Tough luck, it's still illegal.

Unless, of course, by "enough" you mean about 75% of the population of the states who signed said treaties. ;)
If that would be enough, that would be enough.

An edit for the lady.

I took the suggestion about the ears. As well I corrected some things that were bugging me about the drapery. It still bugs me though.I am sort of pleased with the bottom skirt part, but I cant seem to get the the upper torso right. This by far my most ambitious effort with cloth and such yet, so I was wondering if any of the more experience members at this could help. This is something I really want to improve on, it opens up so many possibilities for characters.

I will do that on Miss rat, but it would be impossible to do that on Mr. Rat because well, his hat is covering them. Thanks for the suggestion though.

More ratfolk, only this ones a wild one!

A judge in the Ratfolk judges the woman's disputes of hoard-rights and birthing-rights. Because she must remain impartial, she may wear no bells and must dance the silent dance with her sister judges, nor suckle child on her four teats. A judge is payed by a gathers worth of of scrounge by each party before the trial.
A Ratfolk woman whom wishes to become a judge must be mentored in turn for 3 weeks by all judges, then goes for an prolonged mentorship with the one who chooses her. After several years of training, the young one is given a full body tattoo in one night, with designs worked out by the apprentice and her mentor. This a very painful experience, and some do not survive. If they do ,they are a full bodied judge and may only be disposed by a successful accusation of Greed, involving both parties in the trial and a majority vote of the whole clan. Such a creature is Outcast.
This Judge is very young, but has already shown great wisdom in her decisions. Some have given her extra gathers in appreciation for her gifts. Sadly, this has caused some friction between her and the other judges.

So yeah, hope you like it.

Really? That'd be great!

I find that hard to believe (no pun intended). You're saying you wouldn't be able to know right from wrong if you weren't religious?
No, I thought I made that clear. I just think it helps to have something you believe to be solid, rather then something that is admittedly arbitrary. So is religion, but the difference is you believe it to be solid.
